I have 1 more ebay parcel to find and parcel up I have about 50 parcels to post today and tomorrow.. My paypal withdrawal I was expecting in my account on Friday has gone in today which is great.. I can buy food AND post the ebay stuff.

A bigWell Done!to lil_me for doing more of your assignment. What time does it have to be in? Keeping my fingers crossed about the house too.
Just managed to clear a hotspot in the bedroom (OH's not mine) and ruthlessly put some of his paper doodlings in the recycling bin. He obviously wasn't aware that they were there, as he couldn't possibly have found them in the state it was in, so I've removed them - they don't belong in the bedroom anyway! Have managed to squeeze a lot of the more important paperwork like bank printouts and old utility bills into one envelope, which I've put on his bedside table for him to sort out later. Have given myself a 10 minute (timed) break for doing the 30 mins, and then will carry on with the bedroom. Keep noticing little things that are out of place and getting distracted. Even now, whilst I'm at the keyboard, I can see 3 pens that shouldn't be on the desk. I'm becoming obsessed!
Right time's up (had to sort the post as the postman came in the middle of my break).
Back to flying!

Oooh.. I know what I meant to tell you lot..
We claimed a cupboard someoen up the road had thrown out.. hubby wanted a built in unit at the top of the stairs.. and I HATE built in units.. they are so '70's' so I was refusing and keeping my towels in a manky hakf dead cupboard.. then he came across this fabby old side board thing.. good scrub and paint stripping/repaint is needed btu it will look fantastic when it is done.. it has all the original hadles and suchlike.. it needs a little repair so one of the drawers run straight but if I am careful I SHOULD be able to get all the towels AND the bedding in it which will clear up 2 shelves in my room so I can house my clothes which are living on top of my treasure chest!!
I have decided to go for the bank loan as well.. I am struggling a bit with the idea of swapping one debt for another and seeing nothing for the trouble.. BUT because I held off they have offered me a 5 month deferrence on payments so I don't have to pay anything until March plus I can make overpayments.. which I WILL be doing every month.. so instead of paying £1960 a month on the debts I'll have minimum payments of £1550.. which means we might be able to eat AND have christmas!!! How cool would that be?
So everyone whose interest rate is more than 9.7% APR will be paid off!! And anything left will be spent on the house.
I just have to get the forms back by Friday.. It will work out because my whole thinking has been alterred. I will NOT use a credit card.. though I will be keeping one.. it only has a year left on it anyway so if I don't use it they won't send a replacement.. plus it is the only one tesco online will accept.. and if I reduce the credit limit to £300 I can pay it off monthly..
I will also then beable to pay off my overdraft before I have to pay off the new loan.
I CAN do this... but I'll need you lot (everyone on MSE) to keep me on the straight and narrow!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Juliejim - what a nightmare about the shoes. Can you take them anywhere to get them sewn back on or are they a right off. Kids...bless them! xx
I think they'll probably be a write off - it's a velcro strap which goes through a loop and then fastens back on itself and she's cut it in half!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level One
Clean floors
Level Two
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front Removed all trace of mysterious leakage too
Extra Mission
Choose one or more of:- THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE!! Photograph 25 items for ebay.. .. and list on turbolister 5 today!.. Don't upload.. we are doing that later in the week!! I have to be honest – if I took this task on this week I think OH might divorce me…
- Put WM's/DW's on a 'clean' cycle.. make sure those doorseals and filters are clear.. soda crystals and white vinegar get rid of unpleasant smells and germs.. I usually put a cap full of bleach in mine too. I like this one – nothing sort before it goes in and no unloading when finished!
- 30 minutes ironing!!! After last weeks challenge you should be pretty much atop of this!! Ok I delegated this – there was something that OH wanted to watch on tv…
Level 1
Vacuum floors and sofas
Level 2
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks:- Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
- Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves
Also moved everything that was left in the lounge up to playroom and mopped hall. The 2 lights in the bathroom were put up over the mirror last night (yay! They have been in the cupboard since april/may!) Then did a bit more “sorting” in the playroom.
Playroom issue has become more urgent – mum is coming to stay tonight and the sofabed is in the playroom! I am wound up about it already – I should get a doormat that says “this is not a hotel – it is a home”
Ok rant over… sorry folks! Needless to say mum doesn’t like either of the things that I have planned for supper so I need to take lo out to get something for her – will go to supermarket near OH work and then get the car seats from him before getting the kids. Chances of getting any work done before I leave – ziltch
JulieJim - could you try (my brain is not working) one of the shops you take your shoes to to get resoled? the same place that cut's keys? might be worth popping by with the shoe to see if they can. When our youngest was little MIL's dogs ripped the same sort of strap from a canvas shoe. I managed to fashion another strap and stitch it back on and they were ok.

looks like the prayers won't come true, agent are speaking with landlady but according to them we still need a guarantor, DPs Dad has found out he can't because of his job so looks like we're poopered
the only other way they would do it they reckon is with 3 months more advance rent which would be £1900 on top of the £1600 we'll have to pay just to move in, just don't have that sort of money in my pocket, was hard enough getting the £1600 together, part of me is hoping the landlady will say ok but I have a gut feeling it's not going to happen. Gutted
Off for a cry and lay down in a dark room, not looking hopefulOne day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me.. could you ask one of the people who deals with the boys? No doubt they have to have known you for at least 3 years? I'm pretty certain there si someone you have known through school or whatever who would do it for you.. I'd offer, but I'm a bit far away to get up to sign forms lol. There will be someone!!!!..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Oh lil_me, that's really bad news. I hope the landlady is as understanding as my OH is with his tenants and lets you have the house.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Pigpen - sounds like you're sorting out your money. I got a shock in Tesco today when I saw a load of christmas chocolate on the shelves. Normally i've done christmas by now but as the children get older they change what they like more often! Saying that, I bought the most gorgeous dressing gown for DD and just have to try not to give it to her before Christmas!
Lil_me - aaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhh - I just want to scream for you. I'll keep everything crossed that it will be ok.
I've put the tesco shop away and am off to visit friend in hospital so will be back on later to say i've done all my jobs for today! xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Just checking in while I have my lunch.
Pigpen - that chest sounds lovely.Any chance of some pics?
Lil-me - everything crossed for you.
I've done a load of washing. Most of it dried on the line; the rest is on the creel. Going off to iron it now.
I've put my Tesco delivery away - it included a couple of odd items that I'm sure I didn't order, and no Minstrels
I have 2 bread batches proveing.
See you all later, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
