  • Hi turtles!

NSD here today. Used our membership card for a free day out at local historic house and enjoyed walking there and back through all the autumn leaves.

Small sale on 3bay so paid another £3.50 off the cc.

Tomorrow will be a planned spend on business items but should double my money on them when my orders go out next week.

No money was spent yesterday and neither of our cars ever moved from the driveway, it makes me happy that we entertained ourselves all day without driving or spending.

We had a lovely walk yesterday afternoon, we met some very fat pigs and loads of goats plus horses and cats, it took forever to chat with them all so we were out a couple of hours.

I very much enjoyed having a lie in this morning and still being up by 8am.

Today DS has football and DD is riding, I will cycle and walk the dog again and I am going to try and get some winter tyres for the bikes and some spare inner tubes today so will be having to spend.

Sounds a lovely day! It is great how nice a simple day can be.

    A SFD - 3rd in a row.

Still sewing - gave up at 4am this morning as my eyes were hurting. First time I woke up my sewing arm was aching, the other hand was cramping (where I had hold of the sewing and one of my eyes was still glued shut).

Loads more sleep and gearing up to finish. The sooner it is done, the better and it will make a difference when completed.

Today I am grateful for leftovers, for ice cream and for being able to sew (must have saved thousands over the years).

nannyg When DS3 turned the mattress for me, I found a notebook tucked between the mattress and the bedside cabinet. I have been tearing the house apart looking for it. It has all my passwords in and I hadn't been able to access my bank account or a couple of utility companies. My only way onto bookface was via a game the laptop remembered me playing. I have some standard ones that I use but some companies keep rejecting them and they become so difficult (harder to hack) that you have no chance of remembering them.

  • I'm signing off with 12 for the month. Disappointing.

November will be a different story. With Xmas round the corner I don't have a choice.

    Hi all.

I will be finishing the month without spending anything I hope.

Kids are back at school today but DH is off as he has a hospital appointment. We will be going cycling and dog walking later then this evening the kids have friends popping round and they are going out for halloween together.

A big thank you to Mothernerd for running the thread like a superstar despite being ill. See you all next month.
