I wish to thank all those that have contributed to this thread. I followed the guidance in the Newbies thread after receiving a NTK from Walton Witkins c/o DCB Legal. My defence was based upon landowner rights.
Last week they sent me an email using very ambiguous term, to see if i would offer them a reduced payment. I obviously refused. My hearing was supposed to be held on Thursday 10 June 2021. Today Wednesday 9th June 2021 i received a letter from DCB (il)Legal discontinuing the case.
Thank you for the great step by step advice
You must check with the court to confirm.
I would report DCBL to the SRA0 -
You could have claimed costs for unreasonable conduct...

If you think that the solicitor has acted unprofessionally, or in a manner likely to bring the profession into disrepute, complain here.

Hi, Part of my defence is that on all correspondence from the Claimant including on the Claim Form, they have not used my correct surname and have used something similar to gobbledeygook. My question is when responding to the County Court where it says Claim Form between Claimant and Defendant, what name should I insert here, the gobbledeygook surname or my actual surname.
Thanks
