I have followed Plan A, can anyone offer hope that Premier Inn take up responsibility & arrange for a penalty to be cancelled?
Any specific guidance relating to Euro Car Parks & overstay would be appreciated.
Chances are low they will cancel, right now they are desperate for money
Even POPLA are behaving badly at present.

Best guidance is for you to read the NEWBIE sticky then start your own thread (if you still have unanswered questions) rather than posting on a random thread from several years ago.  Also you could search the forum for other Premier Inn threads and see what success others had.

Any specific guidance relating to Euro Car Parks & overstay would be appreciated.

  • Hi  ALL
i got pcn from last year.  The 28 days appeal has passed due to me travelling and not been able to get to my postbox due to lock down.  September was the alleged contravention. I only got my mail this week, issue of notice letter was only sent out in jan 2021.  it is now with debt collectors who say it is too late to appeal  and that payment on my bank account is not proof.

Well little did they know that i have the stub, that shows, car reg, date, how long it took me to get to pay at the machine. it seems like the council owns the land and this private car parking company is taking a fat chance.  I went in at say 7am and left 3pm, Stub was valid till next day.
My one question is how many times has this company which is all over the UK done this, i mean who keeps the stub, well i did and lucky i did.   Why did they keep the data for 3 months when I had clearly paid, but then decide to post out the fine????  These crooks were relying on me not having the stub and proof of payment and i have the receipt from the machine used.

As the council owns the land my question is I take it i first complain to them of the false fine issued?

You should really start your own unique thread rather than posting on a random thread from 2016!  However, if it truly is a Council issue, then pop yourself over to a site called Pepipoo who are the council experts.

  • I wish to thank all those that have contributed to this thread.  I followed the guidance in the Newbies thread after receiving a NTK from Walton Witkins c/o DCB Legal.  My defence was based upon landowner rights.

Last week they sent me an email using very ambiguous term, to see if i would offer them a reduced payment. I obviously refused.  My hearing was supposed to be held on Thursday 10 June 2021.  Today Wednesday 9th June 2021 i received a letter from DCB (il)Legal discontinuing the case.

Thank you for the great step by step advice

Great .... DCBL failed in their mugging attempt.  They should have taken the sound advice of this forum ...... they did not, they failed and it cost them money

You must check with the court to confirm.

I would report DCBL to the SRA

    Indeed, go here

    https://www.sra.org.uk/

Such behaviour is likely to bring the profession into disrepute imo..
