  • I'd def drop the reporter an email after Christmas.

Jan is often a quiet month news-wise.

Bring a fresh angle and the story will virtually write itself.

If I was writing a follow-up I'd put a Freedom of Information request in to the council and find out how many people have been made homeless in similar circumstances.

Anyone can make an FOI request and they can often yield fascinating results.

    Hi MOT

A lot seemss to have happened since I went away, glad to hear the new appeal date, and that your solicitor is not accepting the date to leave the temp acc ( if decision goes against you ) it is not reasonable and should be a couple of weeks at least, the local authority here always allow 28 days after a decision as this is what has been deemed reasonable in case law.

Now you can try and enjoy your christmas.

all the best to you i.t and the twins

    Hi Teeni,

Hope your hols were good! Yes, there has been a lot going on and thank you for taking the time to read and catch up:T . Thanks for that bit of useful info about the 28 days being deemed reasonable in law as that is what I had thought would be the right sort of time.

Off to see St Trinians film this afternoon - will let you know later what its like - it will be good on count thats for sure as Colin Firth is in it;)

as for felicity getting ready, this is just the start of many years worth of hanging around for her to get ready...wait until the make-up starts!!!
maybe once your appeal has been heard and the council concede that they have to house you, you could be really cheeky and ask for a house with 2 bathrooms so that she can have her own!!!
hope you all have a fab christmas

To make matters worse her hairdryer just stopped working too! I thought she was having me but no its dead:confused: will try the fuse and see if I can reseurrect it.

Went to see the St Trinians film yesterday - it was very good, full of the usual mischievious capers that the St T girls get up too! The film was a very good copy of the original ones and is well worth seeing for a light hearted couple of hours with lots of laughter thrown in:rotfl: .

What are you all up to today? I've got some last minute wrapping to do, then we're going to have a lazy day.

  • Merry Christmas to MOT and the kiddiewinkles........Try to have a good day tomorrow...........

And to everybody else on this thread and MSE
Today, my BEST is good enough.
  • I've been lurking - just logged in to wish everyone, especially MOT and the twins, a very :xmassign:.

Also thought you might like to know that I am a genuine St Trinian's girl. It's true - apparently Ronald Searle used to see us going off to school in our boaters, and all the illustrations are based on the school I went to.....:D
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • oh my god..you cannot be serious, a broken hairdryer, thats the worst news you could have had over xmas!!! hope you managed to fix it!!
