We had 'lasagne al forno' yesterday, mot - otherwise I'd be coming round yours tonight. :rotfl: :rotfl:

We're having proper 'minestroni' tonight - and I don't mean soup.
'Happy New Year, mot - buon capo di anno'

    and 'buon apetito'

  • MOT, the twins and I had a wonderful evening with my Dad (he's a sprightly 92) and sister. Mulled wine for aperitif. Antipasto for starters , the lasagne course was wonderful (thanks MOT) with a dressed salad, followed by apple crumble and custard and washed down with lots of vino rosso. At midnight we ate one grape for every strike of Big Ben (12 grapes, 12 months of good fortune) and it had better work! ;) Then toasted each other with champagne (thanks sis). The twins thought the grape eating was hilarious and couldn't swallow and keep time with the boings' for laughing, as did MOT (such a joy to see her laughing again). :j Watched the fireworks in London on the tv which were amazing and played a game of 'Last Word'. First footed - as I am the dark haired one I went out & returned carrying bread & water - to ensure we always have something to eat & drink, (couldn't find any coal - to ensure we are never without heat). A real fun night enjoyed by us all.

Happy New Year everyone, may 2008 bring you peace, joy, love, happiness, health, wealth and anything else your heart desires. New Year's resolution? To make sure MOT & the Twins get a roof over their head and live a stable life in comfort.

Not very 'Italian', Tony :naughty::naughty: - but good of your sister. :rotfl:

We opened a magnum of 'Ferari' prosecco - a gift from one of my suppliers - however, the end result will probably be the same. :rotfl:

I wish you and MOT a Happy New Year, and I hope that this year will bring the result we all want for the twins and her.

Rog, we had a bottle of Prosecco on Christmas Day and 2 on Boxing Day! Had never heard of it until I met I-T again and now I love it! Its a lovely drink to have on a warm summers afternoon too isn't it?

Had a lovely evening last night and woke at 12noon today:rotfl: . Done nowt all day apart from cook a roast which we have just sat and enjoyed. Will do nothing tonight either apart from watch tv or a DVD - bought 'Man on Fire' for I-T for Christmas so may watch that. We have both read the books about Creasy written by AJ Quinell and are absolutely addicted to them so I hope the film doesn't let us down  - although neither of us had ever pictured Creasy as a Denzel Washington lookalike!!!

Hope you all had a fabulous New Years Eve and I wish everyone a wonderful 2008.

It all starts again for me on Thursday with the psychologists visit so I'll let you know how I get on xx
