Before you post any more I suggest you re-read this thread in detail, also read:
Martin's post about this board being for SUPPORT not judgement and
The Depression Support thread (OP has said about being depressed for a while) and
Martin's info on new Mental Health & Debt Guide.
If you still want to discuss people on benefits there is a place for that - Discussion Time.

Please don't worry about that post at the moment, good luck with today, you have a lot of support from people posting and others that will be reading so remember that!
I've just seen your post while doing a preview of this one, good answer, don't get involved with them any more if they post.Torgwen.....................

Hi MOT...
Glad u have the support of the Head behind u too.... sounds bad, but the 'detremental effect on ur childrens education' could be another angle u could use towards kicking the council up the @r$£, esp if the head can write a letter supporting it...
Re Red Ken  ..... ignore them, and remember that there are far more of us here that want to support u than there are people to belittle.... I'm sure people like that take some kind of sick enjoyment in upsetting people, please don't give their comments a second thought! Altho I am still trying to figure how ur situation can be considered devious !?!

im sorry but why is gag a moron just because they have rasied there point you quote the rember debt free wannabee is for support not judgement then call someone a moron
the point gag has made about hb is a vailed one which i said about earlier on this thread the op should of got enough hb to pay the rent unless the op took on something they could not aford and the hb wouldnt pay extra for example the three bed house you want to rent is 900 per month but you could get a another three bed for 700 per month not as nice but a three just the same the hb would only pay 700 it would be up to you to pay the extra 200 for the nicer house iyswim
i know that the law says that you have to have a certain amount of money to live on so anything more than that amount is taken of the hb in my case it was the law for me oh and two kids to have 197 per week so we got full hb on our three bed cosing 600 per month but if we was getting 230 per week we would of only got 468 hb as we was getting more than the law say you need to live on
so if the op was not getting enough hb it was because of one of two reasons
one the hb have made a mistake and if thats the case then the op should go back to the hb team and find out why and see if you can get the mistake overturned the letter on your hb notice will tell you what the law says you need to live on
two the op was getting more than the law said the op needed to live on so what gag is saying is true there should of been enough money to pay the rent
now im not getting at anyone and i wish mot good luck but we cant go about calling people morons just because we dont agree with what they say the gag post was quite helpfull in places and i hope mot dose get in touch with the hb team to get to the bottom of why there was not enough housing benefit as if the op was getting less then the law says the op needs to live on and mot did not get enough hb then the hb would of broken the law by not providing enough hbi cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing0 -

When I took this house on I could afford it as I was working, it is the circmstances from Jan this year that made it unaffordable.

MOT, go & give DS a hug, do a bit of packing & make something nice & tasty for tea - on the hob!
BTW, did you hear from Councillor or MP yet?
Floss xx :grouphug:0 -
Hi Floss,
Had a reply from MP saying to bear with him and that he will get back to me by phone - so if heard nothing by Wednesday will give him a call. Local councillors haven;t responded but thats on my list of 'to do' things today.
Given DS a hug from you and he went all embarrassedbut loves the attention, and we're off to my parents for tea so good food hopefully! AND before 'anyone' comments - NO we can't live with them no room

Earwig - thanks for actually reading what I said for what it is. I am no judge and if it was read correctly I have said I completely sympathise - I've done nothing but think of this poor lady's circumstances since I started reading it. I feel I gave constructive advice in my points about the ex employer, it doesn't say anywhere that MOT had tried to take action so I wasn't sure if MOT was aware that she could so it was simply advice to help her on that point and one less thing for her to feel cheated by, she needs justice for that, she was treated exceptionally badly and did not deserve to be sacked, especially if she uncovered undehanded goings on. The part about the Landlord, also is not stated that MOT tried to claim her rights on that, so I was advising that she has every right to sue that landlord, another thing to feel less cheated by, it was good honest advice, it wasn't in detriment to anyone's intelligence at all. Some people, especially when they're very down, don't always see the light at the end of the tunnel, I'm not sure why people read that advice as an attack. If I didn't know I could do those things then I would be eternally grateful that someone advised me of my rights. Its just a darn shame MOT couldn't get the insects that caused her job loss, they got away with that totally.
MOT - it wasn't an attack and I did state that in the very start. I'm quite aware you're having to leave and the circumstances & everything you've been through in the last year or so is a nightmare for anyone. I don't think I deserve to be called a moron for trying to advise on your own human rights.
Like I said, I'm in absolute sadness for your situation and despite your now personal attack on me and from everyone else, I'll still not withdraw my sympathy for you, my heart still goes out to you.0
