If you look on ANY Council website, you will find contact details for all Councillors - it is part of their "availibility to their public". They are not private, by dint of their having taken positions in public (get it?) office.0 -
Hope you both had a lovely relaxing day....and that you feel a little chirpier MoT.

MoT, I had a very nice response on Friday....
Hi,
I appreciate, more than you will know, your expression of concern.
I have spoken with Julia earlier today (maybe it's yesterday) and we are meeting later so that I can hear what she has to say at first hand. I'm looking to ensure a decision upon hearing that is both fair and just - principles that must prevail if we are to move forward in an age of equality and social justice.
Thank you for getting in touch - I will be supporting Julia and her family with as much influence as I can bring to bear in this case.
Cllr Anon.
Dacorum Borough Council
I can't come down to support you as I've got to be in work......but I will be there in sprit & on email / MSE!
Love to all
Floss xx

Hi all,
Sorry but didn't get to swim, sauna, steam or anything as just so down today - am having one of those days when I cry at anything. So after a lovely homemade carrot and onion soup (made by I-T's fair hands) I fell asleep on his settee and then sat with a numb mind watching 60 Minute Makeover. After that I spent 50 mins:eek: trying to get through to chase my Community Care Grant to be told, when I did get through, that I have AGAIN been turned down due to not receiving the correct benefits. When I asked who I could speak to about this I was told 'There is no-one to speak to about it - you can appeal BUT the appeals process is several months behind'. All I want is some of the costs back for having to move to help me with having to move again - I just keep coming up against one :wall: after another.
I also spoke to someone from an online depression site who asked me various questions and having answered them she told me that I am 'severely depressed' - and thats something I don't know? I just hope that this psychiatrist will able to see just how depressed I amChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
I just wanted to say... well actually I can't say it on a family forum, I would get banned! How can it possibly be right that they do the appeal AFTER they have evicted you? Uh Duh! If the appeal is successful then you would just be moving back in anyway. So how stupid is that to evict you with all the attendant costs for you and them, and all the publicity, for them then to have to rehouse you again. THERE IS NO LOGIC:mad:
MOT you said that someone has said you are severely depressed. Might it be worth reviewing your medication with you GP you might need a higher dose, to get you through the next few weeks?
I hope that there is an outbreak of common sense soon in you council.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

))))))))))))))))))HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))MOT
Of course you are having a down day little wonder. You need to make an appt with your GP and get a medication review hun do this as soon as you can. You need to get this addressed please dont put if off any longer and I know how much you have on your mind at present.)))))))))))))))HUGS)))))))))))))) Dont feel stressed by the depression that will come and envelope you now and then. It is all very normal for anyone who is going thru what you are going thru. Depression is cruel and spiteful illness and the more you try and fight it the harder it becomes.
Please try and see the Dr I know you are going to see the physcitarist this week but your meds need to be altered asap.
Now you go have a nice bubble bath a glass or two of wine and take yourself off to bed. There is nothing more you can do today.

Appeal the Community Care Grant decision appeal will take months I think not!! they just trying to put you off. Get I_t to fire off the letter of appeal to them.:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0 -
I hope that there is an outbreak of common sense soon in you council.

Emailing MP again now, chevalier.
Topping and tailing earlier 'raft' thus:
'Good evening Mr Penning,
(another 'Mike', I am pleased to note, hopefully to work in tandem with Mr Mike Moore, Labour Councillor for Dacorum Borough Council.)
You know all about the case of Ms Davis and her twins, Felicity and Adam, I am well aware. I am equally sure you have been noting the groundswell of publicity and concern which is mounting.
On a gut-reaction level, your rallying cry of 'We Are At War!', when you met with Julia on 30 November, gave us all tremendous heart. Please note Posts 1376 and 1379 particularly and DO take credit for what you inspired at that point:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=6989879#post6989879
But the Eviction is Decreed Absolute, for execution next Monday, 17 December (forgive my grim humour) and DBC's chronically immovable Ms Nazma Abdul Karim has actually stated this to Julia's solicitors, Fisher Meredith, AHEAD OF THE APPEAL HEARING, due for 19 December.
Immediately, this is bizarre.
I know, too, that you have been emailed by others from the magnificent Support Thread on moneysavingexpert.com, which began with Julia's first Post on 16 September, headed: EVICTION NOTICE SERVED:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=553259
But rather than pursue this grotesque Breach of Council procedure - may it yet be fore-stalled - I ask kindly that you read, most thoroughly, a composite document posted on the Thread today?
I am sorry to tell you that apart from Ms Bassadone's dusty, but at least immediate, acknowledgment last night, neither Margaret Griffiths, Graham Sutton, Daniel Zammit, Andrew Williams nor Rob. Wright(the first person to whom I spoke last week)has had the courtesy to acknowledge my emails, let alone answer them.
Mr Penning - what is going on?
This cannot be the way DBC wishes to be seen conducting its affairs.
Please begin here:
(Let us say I am bringing you a steadying cup of some warm beverage to help you along - it's a bitter night where I am).

Mr Penning, you have come to the end, for now, and I do thank you for reading this.
A non-sequitur to close - the date, top right, on your site banner is my birthday and I will take that as a happy portent.

I also note and commend your protesting on behalf of pensioners just 18 days ago outside Downing Street(22 November)

STOP Dacorum Borough Council falling further into ignominy.
