I would have thought they would need to apply to court for an eviction order to actually evict you, and following that to go back to the courts to instruct baliffs - isn't that how it works, or are they a law unto themselves.

Following on from that, wouldn't you then have been "unintentionally" made homeless by their (the council's) actions?

MOT, the interview was very good, & I think the council will have been told several times over that you were on the air today. I'm trying to find a way to record the show in mp3 format, to make it easier for those who missed it to get it. Once I've done it, I'll let you have the link. :)

Hi SF, Solicitor did mention that - but I'm sorry I'm not really sure what that means:confused: - would you mind explaining to me please?

Just catching up before i leave, A judical review is an application to the county court. In this case it would be a j/r of the local authoritys refusal to continue to accommodate you for the period of the review and if review unsuccessful for a reasonable period ther after. Once a review is under way the authority have a power to accomodate not a duty and that is why they can pull this one. If the review has merit ( as we all believe this one does) then the courts can make the local authority accommodate until a decision is reached. You will need to apply for full legal aid as the costs can be enormous, but your solicitor can grant emergency certificate if it is urgent (he will deal with this anyway if necessary )

Right I am going to catch my plane now so I have to go will catch up when I get back god willing every thing will be successfully over by then.

    all the best

Hi WDIAG, thank you for trying to record the show it would be good to be able to listen at a future time and for those who couldn't listen today!

I have looked at the emails on the 'Your Say' page of the HHG and thank everyone who contributed.

No problem - it's done: I hate RealPlayer files. :) To download it in mp3 format, click here - wait for the countdown to end, then click the download link that appears on the page. It's just over 6mb in size. :)

  • :S I can only listen to it straight away .. it won't let me save it to my computer
  • Oh, that's a shame :(. What are you using to play it? I tested it in Windows Media Player, Winamp & iTunes before uploading it & putting the link here. Perhaps you could put it on a cd & play it on something else, like a cd player or in a dvd player that will play mp3 files.

What browser are you using? I'm using Firefox, which allows you to specify where you want to save the file.
