Just when I think I am making progress then something happens to knock me down again............heard from solicitor this afternoon who had rung LA Head of Housing and told her that she (sol) has arranged for a psychiatric report to be carried out next week
and that she was requesting an extension date for the appeal and also for us to stay here at the flat.

The Head of Housing was not impressed and said that I didn't need a psychiatric report[ WHY DID DBC COMMISSION AND PAY FOR THE NOW MEDICAL REPORT WHICH SAID OTHERWISE,IF DBC HAVE SO MANY QUALIFIED MEDICAL EXPERTS? THEY COULD HAVE SAVED TAXPAYERS' MONEY] yet had to agree to allowing time for the new evidence to be collated. THEN she said that she will NOT extend our stay in the flat and that we HAVE to leave on the 17th December 2007.[NOT PREJUDGING REVIEW/APPEAL OUTCOME, ARE WE?]

I live in Essex/London borders but have a car - and I can try and get the day off work? I enjoy a run in with authority! ;)
Just listened to the radio broadcast MOT - surely even the most hard hearted of council officers must feel sympathy now!
I am keeping my fingers crossed that things don't come to an eviction though - you seem to have so much in your favour?
Must remember to get the in-laws to record the news for me - we can't get Anglia here! :(

Thanks Sagaris, the more the merrier as I really don't relish the thought of having to move on my own again - this will be the 4th time in 25 months that I have done this on my own!

I have just spent an enjoyable 1.5 hrs with MissPoppy from MSE!!!! She kindly brought me some bedding to help out and stayed for a coffee - it was nice to meet a real live MSE'r and I welcome any of you whenever you would like to visit or ring - my door is always open (unless I'm to be evicted in which case it will be firmly shut and you will need to know the password to get in ;) ).
