  • Off to my bed soon. Tried to get a new wooden support for my curtain pole only to be told they don't sell them on their own, you have to buy a complete set, pole, rings, finials and supports! And all I wanted was one support to replace the broken one! Bl--dy retailers! icon8.gif Needless to say I didn't buy, due to a paucity of funds. I am very impressed by MOT's solicitor, aint 'e doin' just fine? I shall be going with MOT next Wednesday when she sees the trick cyclist, just in case she can't make the tube journey home in her straight jacket. :rotfl: We both had a bad day today - touch of the clumsies - you know, dropping & breaking things, spilling tea! Hey, onwards and upwards. Trying to think of a good title for MOT's story. I'm waffling again - bona note tutti.

Viv, well done for keeping your spirits up and for being so optimistic. You sound a very determined and strong willed lady.
And you sound thoroughly gorgeous and are another silver lining!! Probably the best silver lining of all Viv XX

Morning all particularly to anyone who has crawled out their beds to listen to BBC 3CR!

The radio is on in the bedroom for the twins to listen and I am here all alone in the lounge waiting for the phone to ring:eek: . The subject so far since 6.30am (when the alarm went off) is Homelessness, House Prices and Mortgages so I can see that email to them on Wednesday was well timed.

    Wish me luck xx

Interview done - apparently comments can be left on the BBC Three Counties radio message board - www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties - so please feel free to leave a message! The presenter said that they will be contacting me after the appeal for an update.

I wasn't up in time to listen...but according to the page you can listen again:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecounties/local_radio/ (column on right hand side there are two buttons 'Listen Live' and 'Listen Again') - You need to install real player if you don't have it. I don't and would rather not install it ....off to download 'Real Alternative' instead.

There only appears to be yesterdays on there at the moment...I expect it will update when the show finishes.

I caught the tail end of todays news at 8:30am and heard the newsreader saying "....lost their home following the Buncefield disaster...." so assume that was your story!

Tried 'Listen Again' but couldn't find the broadcast as they don't give any idea how to find the interview. I clicked on the Breakfast show but the digital timer seems not to refer to what you are listening to, so even though you can listen an advance forward 5mnts or 15mnts I still couldn't find it! Hope you have better luck.

    - When you click on listen again, a window opens and it is the current show that starts playing.
    - On the right is a column list of all the shows. Breakfast is the second one down. If you click on that it starts playing the previous show
    - Back in the player column, underneath the 'now playing' heading it says "Breakfast (3 hr)
Broadcast on Three Counties Radio Thu 06 Dec - 06:00 " (so todays show will probably be on there later today or tomorrow)
    - You can then jump ahead by 5 or 15 minutes to get to the part of the show you want to listen to.
