Camera man and reporter now gone - it MAY be shown on ITV Anglia tonight (available on VirginMedia and Sky) or possibly over the weekend.

Great minds, LOL.

The mags would always send someone out to interview then write up a piece, but they could certainly use your inital email as a basis.

I am always getting calls/emails from news agencies following up pieces I have done, because I cover a lot of court, and the inevitable sadness and grit that goes with.

Thanks for compliment! I have just listened to it at I-T's and am gobsmacked at how good it sounds! I though it sounded terrible when I was doing it but am really pleased with how it has come out!

I certainly do, mot. Yours is just the type of storyline that the Nationals (paper and TV) love, because it exposes the way that some, supposedly public, organisations are actually behaving in reality, whilst they use statistics/procedures to exhibit an often false sense of respectability to the general public - and even central government.
This is exactly the type of scenario that Watchdog and Trevor McDonald are so good at exposing.

You are a "normal" person with a family, and you have had, as the Lemony Snicket books say, a series of unfortunate incidents that have led to this current situation...why wouldn't they want you? You are well spoken, well presented, have made the best of what you have been dealt, have 2 photogenic kids....you are not the "normal type" of person generally seen in Homeless offices and as such you are eminently suitable for the media to prove that Councils do make mistakes.

And just think, there's a whole weekend of papers coming up.....this is a good Sunday paper story....:D

Been reading with interest for a while now. Well done on how you have coped so far and on how far you have come. I came across this today while studying and thought that it may come in useful (excuse me if it has already been posted) UN convention on the Rights of the Child Article 6 ".....states should fully ensure the right to an adequate standard of living, including the right to housing, nutrition and the highest attainable standards of helath"

Been reading for a while and have posted a few times but have not had anything useful to say (and dont want take over/jump on your thread ect) but offer my surport as has everyone else.
Glad to hear to the news so far although I cant get my stupid computer to read you radio interveiw i would have loved to have heard it.

Just when I think I am making progress then something happens to knock me down again............heard from solicitor this afternoon who had rung LA Head of Housing and told her that she (sol) has arranged for a psychiatric report to be carried out next week and that she was requesting an extension date for the appeal and also for us to stay here at the flat.

The Head of Housing was not impressed and said that I didn't need a psychiatric report yet had to agreee to allowing time for the new evidence to be collated. THEN she said that she will NOT extend our stay in the flat and that we HAVE to leave on the 17th December 2007.

What next?????????????
