Think that sums up the competence of the Council to a T! They really don't want to do themselves any favours, do they?!0 -

Great. More ammo for you to use, hopefully. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Do we need to have an appointment to talk to you yet MoT?!
Seriously though, the Council may not be very happy about all the publicity, but at least they will have to be seen to follow the Act's guidance and their own procedures to the letter this time - especially with your solicitors AND the media on the case.
Let us know how you get on with reporter and Michael Moore..... hope I-T has the resilience to cope with life with a media star0 -

HI Mot. I think that the council will be forced to back down as there is no way on this earth that the council can win this one...
That would probably be the best way to conclude this matter, and would have allowed the Council to have 'conceeded' with dignity, taxi.
Unfortunately, so far it would appear that mot's council are acting totally inflexibly in all cases where 'intentional homelessness' is suggested.
The issue, now, is becoming far bigger than just mot - although that does not diminish the importance of mot's case - and any judgement reached in the mot's case is likely to have repurcussions throughout this Council - probably leading to the review of previous similar cases - even questioning the professional integrity of mot's HLO.
That mot will win - I have no doubt whatsoever, but it looks as though the case will run the full distance now.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I suspect that they will await to the appeal, for the simplest of reasons that they will have been seen to have followed procedure and not make a special allowance. They will not want to set a precedent.
Could some one flag up a link to MOTS interview thank you muchly
