Make some hot chocolate if you have any :D or some hot milk...supposed to help you sleep (makes me _pale_ !!)

I wish I had a magic wand to make things right, MoT. At least your old GP has promised to help, and with a more-wordy reply than their silly old form!

Think we'll all be in bed early tonight...no forum after 10pm? What's the world coming to?!

Lots of love & hugs to all :grouphug:

    Morning all,

The trouble with sharing a room with your kids is they are always awake when you go to bed - in my case they seem to go bed at the same time as me cos I'm not a night owl - but when you need a really early night like I did last night - its 'Oh Muuuuum, we want to watch IACGMOOH' in a very 'Kevin' like voice.

So who stayed up watching it until the trial was over? - Me! Then fell into bed and light off for 9.40pm.

Meant to say that the LHO came to the flat last week, when my SW was here, to see how I was and told me that during the last year she has only lost 2 appeals because she is very thorough when making her decision. Hope I haven't already posted this on here:confused:

  • Morning Sweetheart - big hug - took me quite a while to work out what IACGMOOH was!!!!!!!

I find it very strange that she feels the need to tell you that but remember she can still lose another one!!! Ask for the case details and see where she was not thorough!!!!!!

  • I dont know to be honest, I waws jhust thinking about it, I meant it as a bit of a glib answer! You now me to many thoughts too little time. I wonder though if they contacted Shelter and they might be able to contact them to contact you.

I am not expert enough to know whether one could get access through the Freedom of Information act though propably not cos of confidentiality.

Well your post naming her is coming up 5th on google, so you might want to remove the name (I've blanked it out in my quote). Although as google has indexed your post now it might remain on the search regardless.

After reading the 'meeting agenda' document I found during the search - Most of the 'APPEAL AGAINST DECISION OF NOT HOMELESS', you can understand why the appeal was lost.

There is one that is similar to your circumstances:
The Appeals Committee Housing, having read all the submitted evidence and having heard all the evidence from the Housing Department and from the Appellant, Mrs J, came to the unanimous conclusion that Mr and Mrs J made themselves intentionally homeless by being evicted from the assured shorthold tenancy in Hemel Hempstead for failing to pay rent. This property was available, suitable and affordable for them and their family’s needs.
However with regards to the final part - your property was not available and by the sounds of it, not affordable for your either.

It's also worth you reading the section at the end "PROCEDURE FOR THE HOUSING APPEALS COMMITTEE"

I have bookmarked the link to this document and can PM it to anyone that wants to read it.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j
