  • Quick update as I am running late and full of cold so not feeling too chipper.

    - £17.09 swept over to the mortgage
    - NSD ahead
    - All meals from fridge / freezer

I have a couple of jobs to do that I've been putting off so that's also on the cards today. Nearly in November, where is this year going? I adore autumn, the changing of the seasons and chillier days really are my cup of tea. This year it is even lovelier as DD has started school so it signifies a really important new chapter.

Back later with an update x

Oh yes,i love autumn too ,such pretty colours of red and orange and everything reminds me of harvest festival at school and collecting leaves of all colours for the nature table .lovely time of year .Have a good day.
  • A very busy day and shattered now. No money spent, and some decluttering done as well as ticking off some long overdue house jobs.

Proper update to follow tomorrow, goodnight x

  • Full of cold and a tummy bug. Not a great start to half term, but we are going to plough on with our plans of having a couple of inexpensive days away, starting tomorrow.

I will be back properly on Tuesday, no wild parties whilst I'm gone

  • We are still away and having a lovely time :) back tomorrow, but the sea air has done us all the power of good. I have been Tilly-tidying daily, eating lovely food and drinking lovely wine - heaven.

This little corner of the world is where we would ideally like to retire to, so it is such a motivator just being here. I have identified in my mind some bits to ebay when we get back, aiming to get at least £50 from there. Wednesday is meal planning and batch cooking day, and I plan for Tues-Friday inclusive to be NSDs.

Off for a walk now x

  • Sounds wonderful, ATB - glad you're having a lovely time. :j
    Mortgage - £105,500
  • I'm back :)

Had a lovely time, the weather was kind and it is sunny here too, hurrah :)

Tilly-tidy made, and some more money popped into the OP savings pot. I am going to force myself to do some ebaying too, then meal plan for the next fortnight. Big cook up planned for tomorrow to use up what is in the kitchen freezer, then I will clean it out and move onto the garage freezer (yes we have two :o)

That reminds me (again) that we need to clear out/organise our garage freezer. We put loads in there when we first got it and now have no idea what anything is. :o
  • Some of you may recall I set up a regular OP to kick in on 1st November. I hadn't had a letter, so rang the bank today - not only had it not been set up but they were lowering my monthly payments to take into account the capital I've paid off

Stern words were had, and it is now all sorted (I hope). Makes me want to be rid more than ever! x
