LW, have you read this article? I hope it applies to you and is of help.

It's a day for people turning up here! My goddaughter has just rung to ask if she and her DH and 3 dogs can sleep in their camper van on our drive tonight :D

I hope everyone is as well as can be, it's drizzling here so we are having a lazy day, I did manage to get the house to an acceptable standard of flying with yesterday's run round so I'm having the weekend off.
Hugs and good wishes to all who need them.

Fingers crossed that they decide to include rheumatoid arthritis and/or systemic lupus erythematosus. We shall have to wait and see, I guess. Thanks for the heads-up; I hadn't heard about it. :o

It's about time they saw sense about some of these conditions, and the stress caused by repeated assessments. Waste of time and money, and all blooming target driven of course!

Hung the washing out but it's so damp and still here that after almost 7hrs it's no drier than when it came out of the washer :( so I've brought it in.

Kids are up at neighbours with friends and I'm going to follow them for a brew and a natter shortly.

We have sorted the bookshelf - put away the books DS has finished with in case DD wants them when she's ready. And she's taken all her CDs out of their cases and put them in a sleeve thingy I got from the £shop.

Inlaws want to take kids away again next year. I'm a bit "but I missed them" and suggested I might come. I don't think they are keen, mostly because it will be awkward with 5 instead of 4, and also because they want to spoil them and they think I will rein things in :o need to think that one over... Hmm.

    Right, I'm off...

    Morning!

Hope the lack of activity here is a sign of enjoyable weekends :)

WM is on again and DD is having a bubble bath- lol she just shouted "mum there is an explodement!" Haha

We have a party today then just general Sunday dinner stuff and some toy tidying.

Lifted down the bags (!) of hats and gloves omg how do we have so many? I've been ruthless and nearly filled a chazza bag. We got stuff for Lapland that we'll never use again. I've kept some that I'll pop in my wardrobe in case we have snow but the rest can go.

Chilly here, bit of condensation on windows - want to get some more damp traps for the conservatory - and the garden storage boxes.

    Been making lists this morning!

Morning all. After driving down yesterday, and back again, in two stages (and cars) as we picked up middle sis en route, or rather, got into her car, I was in no mood for anything last night so turned in at 9:30. DD, meanwhile has flown and I have vacuumed stairs.
But I have pegged out, been for my paper, picked up free biscuits and played a round of scrabble. My first two words were all 7 letters so the score's heavily in my favour.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.

Busy day yesterday with three village events. The last was in a restaurant, service was quite possibly the worst I've ever encountered. One of our group had to take the orders and we ended up clearing our own tables. Waited an hour for a drink, and another half hour after that for food which was average. Although it is a village establishment and I like to spend locally, I will not be spending another penny there.

But I do appreciate its a first world problem and people are going through a lot worse.....

So the only flying that got done yesterday was swapping over summer/winter clothes.

Today, so far I have fed me and the dogs, WUDUPA, put the recycling out, spent 15 mins on the exercise bike and luxuriated in a bubble bath.

Next is hoovering/sweeping/mopping through and then walking LittleyDog.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Quite.

Beautiful day here, just perfect for putting the secondary glazing up for the winter, now all done. And finishing drying laundry. And I've just spotted a couple more ripe raspberries on the second autumn rasp plants I got half price from the garden centre. Excellent.

Double ready for new lodger arriving at midday-ish, slow cooker beef made on Friday for tonight so all OH has to do is roast a mountain of root veggies and chuck some peas in some boiling water and a homemade applie pie in the oven and we've got a really easy autumn feast tonight. Will invite lodgers to join us if today's arrival seems like good company otherwise they can fend for themselves.

OH has carpet sucked the top layer, or as much of it as needed it, and I've done as much of the middle layer as the battery allowed. He also made breakfast which was scrumptious and I can now spend the rest of the day sewing with a clear conscience. Lovely.
    Better is good enough.

Just popped in with us and support for everyone.
Hope weekend is as good as possible for all.

I'm planning on knitting sewing or reading today as the house is reasonable.

Floors done with Poppet's help, she chases up and down the stairs (despite the gate which she crawls under removing the obstacle we put there) and tries to catch the hoover/broom/mop.

Bedding changed and on the line and one washload just finished which I'll put out soon.

Going to have an early lunch then walk LittleyDog.
