Ok he has no chance of compensation other than the customer service type refund and £20 voucher but putting that aside, how is the 2nd point relevant? If a company put a razor blade in every 3rd carton of juice and didn't tell anyone would the fact that the consumer had a 1 in 3 chance and they personally chose the carton make the company any less liable? Don't know if this thread is a wind-up (though I have my suspicions) but it's hilarious.:rotfl:
What's with all the references to Dave/D/Davide (Beaky, Mick and Titch) Brooker? I can't see any posts from him/them on this thread0 -

Looks like he's deleted or been deleted. He's a PITA troll that signs up with different usernames but then gives himself away with his posting style, attitude and the fact he can't resist making 20+ posts within his first few hours. I'm fairly confident he goes by the names (so far) of Dave Brooker, D.Brooker, Stan Morris - there may be more and no doubt he's creating a few now. Suspected to be all AEs of dangerousports, though can't remember if we decided if they were the same person or ds was just a wannabee 'Dave'.0 -

Hi,
I bought pure tomato juice (Tesco own make) a week ago, and when me and my wife where having it, a slice of ham feel from it. Me and my wife have been vegetarian all our life (We are Hindu), and after looking at the ham slice falling from the juice carton, my wife has been feeling sick. We have been having this juice since last January, and we also buy orange, pineapple pure juices from tesco. I took the ham slice down to the store and they confirmed that its a slice of some skin. I am just worried, this can happen to anyone and how can we make sure that all the pure/vegetarian juices do not have any meat traces in them?
I am furious about this, but don't know how and what can i ask as a compensation from tesco ? can i sue tesco? has anyone ever got any compensation like this before ? I am thinking of hiring a solicitor and claim a compensation from tesco, along with publishing this incident with pictures in local/national newspapers.
I would appreciate all the help.
Sorry, not had time to read through the whole thread, but, IMHO if you have had it since january i am not surprised thinkgs are falling out along with the juice

Isnt it amazing that not only can he poke a perfectly round hole in a silce of ham, it is also exactly the same dimensions as the spout of the juice. You sure it wasnt hanging on the outside? As for 'tragic' losing half your children when your landrover crashes into a river- thats tragic, your mate dying in a plane crash a few days after leaving for holiday- thats tragic.Making up a story like this and expecting people to believe it well yes, you could call that tragic but not quite in the same senseDFW £10923 (nov2014)0

A further bit of background info about Dave Brooker, for anyone who wasn't aware: he originally signed up to MSE after someone started a thread on here about his company, JPR Electronics of Dunstable (interestingly Stan Morris is from Dunstable according to his profile). Initially he set up 4 usernames to defend JBL on the thread, but when these immediately got sussed out as being the same person, he tried a 5th name - Dave Brooker - and stuck with it.
He's basically pursuing a grudge against MSE and all consumers who complain about companies, regardless of the circumstances.
His modus operandi is predictable and boring; he'll lurk on the Vent board and roll out the same phrases: "Why don't you shop somewhere else then?" being his favourite.0
