ATTACHED means not literally attached, they are saying the comparison rate had different t&c's attached compared to yours.0

Ah ok, thanks for that.

i had an email from them saying that i wouldnt be able to get the free room. Stayed there last night, staff were more than helpful. Had an awesome in a candlelit restaurant with champagne for my wifes birthday. Got up this morning with a full english breakfast along with a cold buffet table that included smoked salmon. Checked out and only got charged for the extras, which is what we were told yesterday. This has to be post of the month, it made my wifes birthday to go somewhere where we wouldnt usually stay or spend £300 on a room and food and drink.Trophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.
Then 3 come along at once!!!!0 -
My cheque from Ramada has just cleared. Converted into sterling from dollars I end up with £149.99 having paid £125 for the room after my stay. :beer:0

I stayed at Days Inn WAterloo last weekend and it was great. The receptionist greeted us with the words 'you have free rooms - yes' and a big cheery smile!! We had 3 free and paid for 1 so £25 per couple - bargain. However when I came back I had an e-mail from Ramada Hyde Park where I'd originally booked all 4 rooms on 1 e-mail. They'd charged me £477 non-appearance fee!!!! When I checked my e-mails, I'd tried to cancel and the booking couldn't be retrieved (in the middle of all the to-ings and fro-ings) . I'd had an e-mail from the red-breasted one saying to pay any charge incurred and he'd refund from the US - so I e-mailed him back saying that I'd tried to cancel and couldn't was now booked with Days Inn and so could he ensure my booking was cancelled.......
Just had another e-mail tonight to say they have refunded my credit card and apologies for the inconvenience!!Bern :j0 -
oh ... and in a similar vein - when I was at the Ramada New Yorker and having my first night free (did I mention that before?
) they swiped my Egg card when I arrived and when I checked out they swiped it again and had an error message saying I had to phone the bank. I paid with my Nationwide card instead as I wasn't going to phone Egg from US. When I checked my statement the payment went out on 27th when I arrived and then was credited back on 30th as I was leaving - but with the exchange difference I was refunded £20 less!! I've contacted Egg as I can't see how I should be out of pocket for a transaction they refused to allow ... but not getting very far as yet. Advice please?
