:rotfl: I just did the same thing and got the same reply too! :rotfl:
They reckon that the £130 rate was a 'limited offer' and was available via the call centre at the time I made my reservation. Absolute !!!!!!!!.This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
I've just had another email - immaterial since I've cancelled the reservation - and it is even more obvious that they've just made the whole thing up:-
Dear GlennTheBaker
I am sorry you feel this way and would like to assure you this rate was available at the time your claim was made. We have many rates/products that we sell which are not always available or sold via our website. This rate should not have been advertised on Ramada. COM and was a mistake which has since been rectified. It was only available via the Jarvis Call Centre with a limited number of rooms attached.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Ramada Newton Park and would like to take this opportunity to wish you a pleasant stay. If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regardsThis space has been intentionally left blank0 -
It happened to me too
You recently submitted a claim to Ramada Hotels on the Guaranteed Best Rate programme and were advised that your claim was successful.
Unfortunately on review the comparative web site (Expedia.co.uk) that was used to make your claim was offering a different product where the room rates offered had different terms and conditions attached.
Therefore I regret that your claim is not valid.
However we continue to hold your reservation, as detailed above on a provisional basis.
If you still require this accommodation the Best Available rate is GBP150.00, inclusive of VAT. I would be grateful if you would confirm that this accommodation is still required. If you wish to guarantee the accommodation for late arrival please could you confirm this along with you credit card details, the room will then be held until 12.00pm on 30th September. If the booking remains as provisional the accommodation will be released for resale at 2.00pm on 29th September.
I do apologise for this misunderstanding and trust that we will still have the pleasure of welcoming you to the Ramada Hyde Park.
Kind Regards
However 1 of the things I mentioned in my reply to them is i will be reporting them to the B.B.B in the US..You guys should too. https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/GetStarted.aspx*If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button*

I've just put in a claim for Ramada London Ealing - £120 on ramadajarvis.co.uk and £80 on ramada.com
Unfortunately have to wait till Monday for the response now.
Will be interesting to see if they tell the same lie.0 -
I have had this reply
Please be assured that we have thoroughly reviewed your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are unable to locate the same room type you are booked into with Days Inn at the rates you are stating as the rate you are viewing includes breakfast, which is not included in your rate. Please review the Days Inn Guaranteed Best Available Rate at http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/guaranteed_best_rate_terms. If you believe there is a discrepancy, please provide us with additional information. We will gladly research this inquiry further.
which left me with a headache abut rates then
I apologize, however our records show there is a charge of £9.75 for the English breakfast and £4.50 for the continental breakfast. The Days Inn website does not state the breakfasts are included in the room rate or free of charge.
when i pointed put that there was no charge for breakfast shown on the hotel website.I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
Well - I've had a result for Ramada Hyde Park for 10 November - however I was a bit giddy and only got 1 free room when booking for a group. Plan B therefore was put into place and I (or my friends!) have booked 4 x Days Inn at Waterloo - had 1 response so far which was a positive - but the other 3 I'm still waiting for. I (we) sent reminders yesterday.
Will let you know.......Bern :j0 -
Can i just ask what site you found the cheaper deal on for days inn and did it include breakfast? Just I need a room and they keep coming back with the breakfast excuseI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

Blow me down with a feather [if you refer to my earlier posts in this thread] you'll see how mad I was with Ramada and their so called Best Rate Guarrantee! After THE phonecall [that I refer to in an earlier post] I was all ready to begin writing a letter to the senior complaints team and before I could even put pen to paper I received this email...
"Dear XX and XX,
We do apologize for the inconvenience but if you could please rebook
your reservation and resubmit a new claim as our office will honor your
Best Rate guarantee claim.
Again we do apologize for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,

Interestingly enough the above email came from the person who I had the phone call with. ... wonder what suddenly changed their mind?0 -
I remember a couple of years back, there was a Days Inn thread with a similar amount of rejections for the "Best rate or its FREE guarantee". Some of the posters then had quite lengthy to and fro emails with customer service before getting satisfaction. Same for the EJH s.
What they want is for you to give up at the first hurdle.
