Have also had to pick DS2 up from school because he has a bad headcold and "feels like I'm gonna die" - such a drama queen:rotfl: Late lunch decluttered. WM finished again - will reboot that then start on windows:D

Matody a frog is a job or task that you keep putting off, there are better explainations of them on Tinterweb - here's one example

Thank you, I now need to figure out what my frog is, probably the weeding...

Konmarie my house along side being a flylady!
  • Evening all.
Was up early for work today, so quite tired when I got home. Mondays are always manic as its driver rent day so lots of money to be counted and cashed up before hometime. Tills balanced to the penny today (they are usually £2-£3 up or down) so very pleased with that.
I have done some flying thou. Kitchen is tidy anyway (apart from the dishes, but that's BF's task, the only cleaning I'll let him do.) so it was a quick one today.

I can hear the clattering of dishes being washed :D he's a good boy.

    [STRIKE]Give the chairs a clean/dust too - vacuum upholstery, polish wood[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear the worktops - wipe any small appliances. Put back only what should be there[/STRIKE] I don't like clutter on my worktops, so the only things to wipe down are the kettle, the water filter jug and the spaghetti jar. I refuse to buy a microwave.

    Level 2

    Polish the windows
    [STRIKE]Wipe cupboard fronts[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty - and wash out - the bin[/STRIKE] Recycling bin emptied as well.

    Level 3
    [STRIKE]Dust in the dining room[/STRIKE]
Mop and/or [STRIKE]vacuum[/STRIKE] floors. Have swept the floor, will wash later. Maybe tonight if I get round to it, or when the bathroom floor needs washing too.

    Extras
[STRIKE]HHI - let's do some every day until it's all gone...[/STRIKE] No ironing in this house. I have put away the dry laundry thou.
Pick a frog and start munching
    [STRIKE]Clean and clear the fridge[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Write a Christmas groceries list - add one item to your shopping each week[/STRIKE] I think the only extra we will end up buying is a nice joint and some pigs in blankets. I'm probably working over xmas, and not really into the usual xmas snacks (tins of sweets etc). So we'll just have a massive roast.

    Leftover & extra bits
    Clean windows.
    Clean car.
Have a bit of a tidy in the cupboard under the stairs.
    Scan paperwork.
[STRIKE]Wash sofa cushions.[/STRIKE] They are in the WM!

    Hello!

We are home! Surgery was fine, no pins required thankfully, and despite the pink vomit (raspberry smoothie :o) they were happy to send him home.

He even wanted to walk up the road with me to collect DD who was also fine. Both tucked up in bed, fingers crossed for a peaceful night.

No school for him tomorrow and he's already trying to wriggle out of Wednesday too, lol. I'll be at college but my mum said she will have him.

So no flying, bed soon for me too. Very thankful it's over bar fracture clinics and having the cast removed.

Tomorrow we're going to make a sort of sock for it to keep it clean - it's taped up with bandages so will be minging by the time it comes off (hopefully before Center Parcs!). No football or swimming for a month at least.

Its been a long day but not very productive at all. :( I've been stuck at home all day so DD picked up some groceries on her way home. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to go out and get a proper weekly shop.

    Personal:
Do job on comp for DD - half done
Pay bills / update finances - will do Tue when I've been paid again.
    Grocery shop - Tuesday
Cook a "proper" meal for tea along with some baking (legs & back ache permitting)
Clear a folder of papers which need scanning/shredding
    [STRIKE] Delivery tonight [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Laundry[/STRIKE]
    Wash sofa cover
[STRIKE] Depong the livingroom - au de pooch is strong again and I'm not sure why [/STRIKE]

Right. I suppose I should get this place tidied up. There's lots of laundry sitting around waiting to be folded lol
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Boo it lost my post.

    The upshot is :

Bossy, really glad it went OK xxxx

I've done level one (only got back from paid stuff after seven as i had to pick up DD1 from a party). I really wanted to steam clean the chairs, but no time now so just wiped them a bit:D

Matody you must be very relieved, it must have been extremely stressful for you living in the same house x

Well done on saving the baby woodpigeons, Narco. I like woodpigeons but I could live without the urban monochrome nuisances..

Well we did wonder whether we ought to just bash them on the head, but as neither of us could face that..........their mum seemed to be back on the nest today so hope she is feeding them.

  • Bossy glad surgery went well.

Kitchen looks ok - lots of stuff cleared, floor swept, surfaces wiped, washing up is up to date.
    Another load washing done.
Weeding done and late seeds sown.
    Bills paid.
A few "to do " emails sorted.
Hand luggage (backpack) emptied and put away.
Grappled with understanding pension statements; felt that as Mr N is now part time and went through his pension in detail, I should make some effort to see if/when I retire and what I should get. Registered with one web site from college job, checked 'in service' dates and they don't match when I know I worked there, so sent an email. Registered with uni site and awaiting password. Created spread sheet (all 4 lines of it) to try and keep track of what is what.

Now in total panic as we should have 3 more days of malaria tablets and we can't find them. I'll have to whiz to Mr A or the GP tomorrow and get some more. Bu**er dark hotel rooms; I suppose we must have dropped a pack somewhere. Not usually that complacent in fact I'm generally paranoid about malaria.
