    Morning all.

(((Hugs))) (though really he's too grown up for such things!) to Master Bossy. Hope the thumb gets undisclocated very soon. And even bigger (((hugs))) to Bossy because our children's pain becomes our own and you will remember this episode long after he's forgotten.
Thinking too of CY and Valli's sis.

Welcome to newbies and returning Flyladies.
Welcome back from holiday, Narc0

    Matody, enjoy your fresh start.

Our weekend away was excellent. A conference speaker who can engage with his audience for an hour and make it seem like 5 minutes, leaving you wanting more - wow! For me it came at absolutely the right time: it was all about one very interesting aspect of my college course; now that I've stopped the painkillers, my brain has finally got back into gear and rose to the challenge; and I have been able to practise a new method of notetaking which has worked extremely well for me, so I feel that I have retained a lot of information and can refer back to my notes to refresh my memory. DH enjoyed it too - very pleased we went.

    Today I must
    - do studying this morning
    - WMx1
    - do levels 1/2/3 as needed (hopefully won't take long)
    - order my replacement FF
    - check finances (spent a lot on books this weekend!)
    - send some emails
    - 7.00 pm follow-up appointment with consultant

Catch up this evening - (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed, and happy flying, everyone x

Thank you Natty and Valli. I'll try again this week but rather than set myself up [STRIKE]for failure[/STRIKE] to struggle, I'm sticking with Level 1. I should be able to manage that. Dining room needs a bit of attention, well, rather a lot due to my sewing and the dog practically living in there, so - hurrah!

Well done on saving the baby woodpigeons, Narco. I like woodpigeons but I could live without the urban monochrome nuisances.

Healing vibes for Master Moo with the additional hope that whatever treatment's needed it's quick and painless for him.

Nothing like a fabulous speaker, Ionafan. I spent quite a bit of time over the summer going to listen to people talk about things I was interested in, and it made me feel much, much better about things. I'm intending to do the same over the next few weeks at the local University, fortunately within easy walking distance, and amongst the speakers programmed are a few I've been inspired by before. Much needed at the moment, too.

I've FB Mesasged CY this morning to pass on everyone's wishes to her. I think she sees that even when she's too crook to read the thread.
    Better is good enough.

Bossy hugs to you DS, and to you. How did he do it?

He fell off his friends bike, just turned too sharp I think :(

Thanks :A we are both in good spirits at the moment although v tired. He's camped on the sofa while we wait for the hosp to call. Of course, it was that hospital so not nice going back there, but needs must.

If they don't call by lunchtime I will call them - he's very hungry and went most of yesterday without food, unnecessarily in the end. So if they can't do it today, I'd rather know, and let him have a good lunch!

Tidied round and packed a bag, plus one for DD in case she has a sleepover... She was feeling quite left out, bless her, I've promised we'll have some girl time very soon, just me and her :A

I'm in as much as my beastly *expletive deleted* joints will allow this week. I'm afraid they're giving me a bit of a rough time today.

Thinking of CY - don't know if she'll have had today's planned treatment yet, but I sure hope it helps her.

Matody virtual champagne for you. m'dear. It's 14 years ago, but I know only too well that feeling of relief. ;)

Thumb-all-better vibes for Master Moo. I, too, fell off a bike and sustained injuries at about his age - some umpty-ump years ago.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • Hi all

Poor Master Bossy, it was awful when DS1 came of his bike and injured his shoulder and he is bigger than me. We found the hospital was great but the after-care/physio that he was supposed to get has been very slow to happen.

Supposed to be working so going to crack on. Lamb hotpot in the sc, a load of washing in, dog walked.

My frog is clearing out some paperwork left behind from a job I used to do. I have asked them if they want these papers back but they didnt reply. I have kept them for a year so they are now going - 3 bin bags shredded and taken to the recycling so far.
  • Bossy- hope it gets sorted quickly.
Matody- a brand new chapter- how exciting!
CY- it's very quiet in here without you. Hope today's treatment goes well and you are back with us soon.

The downstairs toilet is nearly decorated. Just under coated the woodwork so should be finished in a couple of days. We have also been sorting out the nursery. Finally got the blind and curtains up and she moved into her room last night. Needless to say that our room is now a complete tip!!! Lol!

20 minutes before next school run! ( at least it's keeping me fit!!) so I want to wipe table and sweep the dining room floor!
