That's about it really. Time for a quick coffee then off early to uni to make sure the new electronic parking thing recognises me.....

Ran CCleaner through the computer last night but didn't understand some of the things it suggested needed deleting, so lost my nerve! Noted them down so maybe will Goog1e them this evening and be brave.

    Pigeon family still alive.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Thanks for your kind words MrsMP. I've always struggled with new people coming round, partly because of untidy issues (hence why I'm here, although it's much better than it was due to everyone's kind support) and partly because I'm a little bit socially anxious, I think. Now added into this are the ongoing renovations.

Anyway, I've found the floor in the girls room, dumped a binbag of carp, and now having an early lunch break. X

...Drove to meet Mr N at a garden centre so he could have his tab - horrified that at the entrance was a big advert for the Christmas Preview Evening in 4 days time............

I picked up a Christmas catalogue from the pet shop 2 weeks ago! DD and I are trying to decide what to get Zack this year :rotfl: Plus I've already been buying Christmas smellies from the Av*n catalogue as we're onto the giftsets appearing. I hate that it starts so early, but thats the joy of this industry!

    Afternoon all.

Yesterday went to pot. No idea what happened to the afternoon, but by the time DD got in I was feeling terrible. Really nauseous, burning up, shivering, all my joints hurting so after having a shower and making a delivery I got on the sofa under a blanket. DD was not impressed that she cooked pasta for tea and I didn't eat it. By the time I went to bed at 10pm my skin was sensitive to the touch like when you have goosebumps but I didn't have any actual goosebumps and I know, that makes no sense! Took some parrots before bed, slept until 5am when a truck went past and the whole house shook as it went over the speed bump  I thought it was an earthquake for a split second, then realised the rumble was an engine. I'm feeling better today but still very tired so I'm sticking to computer jobs and a quick 5 minutes here and there when I get a burst of energy.

    Plan for today:
    Pay bills / update finances
Order dog food and other items from pet shop.
Sort out food cupboards etc so I can do a shop.
Mr A delivery shop (we need bottled water for DD for school again so I'll just add on the weekly shop)
Everlasting mince (next job when I've posted this)
Make a chore list for DD for tonight.
    Pics for A.

Off to find the big pan and the recipe for this everlasting mince, then I'll tweak it :rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Mrs MP - agree that memories are in us, not in things.

That puts it perfectly. When my mother went into a nursing home I didn't know what to do with her photograph albums - there were dozens. I'm afraid I filleted about six photographs out of them that I really wanted and let all the rest go. I've never once needed to look through them and that was 10 years ago.

From the list I have plumped the cushions although LittleyDog is now busy rearranging them.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We went to another city last night to go to the theatre and got cut up by another driver. We now have a scrape down the side of the car, the driver's side body indicator is no more and the driver's door has a nasty creak when you open it which is getting worse very quickly. We took all the nescessary details and there was a witness so we've contacted our insurance company, plus some photos etc. What blew OH and I away was her attitude. 'You should have given way. Let's call it knock and knock.' I don't f****** think so.

Valli, that Level 1 list is a lifesaver for me today. Thank you.

Dog taken to hydrotherapy and chalet shut up for the winter. It could be reopened again in half an hour, but I've bunged the mouse repellers in and turned them on, drained the water system and turned the fridge off. OH mowed the lawn and put the garden furniture in the shed so it's all done and I can forget about it for once. A friend mended the final double-glazed window that needed fixing a few weeks ago so I'm hoping this winter it won't need a dehumidifier running 24/7 as it has the last two winters. I can't believe how many gallons of water we sucked out of the woodwork when we first put it in there but by the end of last winter there was barely a drop in it.
    Better is good enough.
  • Hi all, feeling a bit out of sorts today, dont really know why. You know when everything just feels like a massive struggle? Sigh.

DS2 is at his part time job today which means I have to pick him up from school, bring him home so he can change and grab something to eat, then I take him to work. He then needs to be picked up later. This takes about 2.5 hrs out of my day losing potentially £25 in my earnings so that he can earn £16!!! I know he is getting work experience etc but it seems like such a lot of hassle.

Anyhow, things to do. Might get a sneaky bike ride in when I have got DS2 sorted, that might cheer me up. Living room isnt too bad but it does need a hoover. In fact I might do that now before I have to get to school to try and find a park.

Yorkshirelass, can your son not cycle to school and back, or at least to his job and back?

Just spent 3 hours gardening / cutting back / tip run.

On the plus side, I've booked myself in for a riding lesson today at half one. Not been on a horse for seven years and I can't wait!!!!
How did it go?... Are you walking like John Wayne now? :rotfl:

I'm afraid sweet FA has been achieved by Yours Truly; simply in too much pain. :( Must do better tomorrow. :(
Mr LW has, however, taken the sheep-onna-stick to the tops of all the walls, cleaned the tops of the fridge-freezer and the kitchen cupboards, and dusted all the flat surfaces in bedroom #2 (actually used as a storage room) :A:A:A
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
