Excellent progress on the diet. So impressed.
I love kale and that recipe sounds a good way to jazz up leafy greens.
I always feel more energised when I drop the carbs. Is that happening for you too?
Keep going and have a good weekend

    Thanks for your comments guys.

dawnybabes - funnily enough my boss suggested the same thing.  However I need a desk to hold two screens, keyboard and the works laptop and DD and OH only have room for two desks which they both use for work. The other thing is going away to DD's is my getaway, Me time and I don't really want to be reminded of work if you understand what I mean.
Good luck with the diet next week!

DIA - I'm feeling a bit more lively during the day - but last night I felt quite sleepy around 9pm so I toddled off to bed. I think my metabolism is still sorting itself out!

    DIET - WEEKLY WEIGH-IN - 1
It was the first weekly weigh-in today and I have lost four ounces off 11lb. That's right - nearly 11lb!  😀😀😀 I couldn't believe it when I got on the scales earlier!  And I know it's mainly a water loss, but as I see it that's 11lb of virtual potatoes that I'm not dragging around with me!
Tonight I have a courgette, garlic and spring onion dish for dinner - I know how to live!  I normally like my courgettes in a fritter, but hey ho.....
And the ketone strip was well in the dark pink zone this morning so my sugar stores are now depleted and I've flipped the switch into fat burning.
The only downside is that the books mention constipation if you don't keep up your water levels - I haven't experienced this yet if you know what I mean!😳

Today I've got housework this morning then off to do the weekly shop - at least I won't be spending as much as all I have to get is my vegetables and some household stuff.

That is an inspirational amount, I am very impressed.  Which keto sticks did you buy?
  • well done on that loss, it’s remarkable is ‘t it.  it really does work.  i feel you are fat burning you can be assured you are losing fat weight - keep at it, it should not get harder now you are in this stage.  can you let us know which ketone sticks you got?  I never used them but may get some.  although i lost a stone, i want to lose another 4-5 lbs, and really wouldn’t be at my younger self’s fighting weight, so thought i would try the sticks.  well done!!

@redofromstart and @savingmore - the strips are called Ketone Keto Strips by a company called Just Fitter. I bought them from Amazon last week. Just looked there as I was going to try and post the link but they've now all sold out!  Lots of people must have started the diet I think. You can get them on other sites though - eBay were selling them. These particular strips are those that were featured in the programme so probably that's why they are so popular.

Today I'm going to go through a particular part of the wardrobe that holds coats and dresses and I'm going to be ruthless and see if I can really prune in there!  Also a drawer that holds skincare stuff.

Going out for a walk later.😀
