END OF SCRIMPY MONTH 1 - JANUARY - SCORES ON THE DOORS!
Scrimpy Week 4 - January
As from Wednesday, Non-Budgeted Spends have been £1.85 for train ticket and and unscheduled lunchtime Pret coffees today - £5.10- as my friend was quite stressed and upset today due to family problems and wanted to vent her frustrations outside the office. I ended up not spending anything at the theatre as DSis bought the first round and then we ran out of time (due to nattering:o) as the show was starting!
For the week the Non-Budgeted spends came to £23.05 which meant that £28.90 has been allocated to the Savings pot
So the Scrimpy Score for this month is a grand total of £103.65 added to the Savings pot and generated out of my Ad Hoc spend monies!:j. I've also had the Cashback and survey monies to add to this as well during the month.
I'm so pleased about all of this as it shows that the savings from taking breakfast and lunches to work and cutting down the Pret coffees is totting up quite nicely!:j
I've also been cooking from scratch more, plus cut out the all the sugary processed foods - both of which has helped the diet and the food budget no end!:jFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

SCRIMPY MONTH 2 - FEBRUARY
I've sorted out my YNAB pots for the monrh - all looking good and I've winged £400 over to Savings pot.
Month has started out a bit non-scrimpy on the Budgeted Spends front. My monthly Boots toiletries buy came to 70.12! - this comprised of tissues (x 2 for work), cube boxed tissues (x 2 for home), Magic Retouch spray for hair (x 2 on offer), cotton wool pads, toothbrush heads for electric toothbrush (offer), Aveeno hand cream (x 2), shower gel, Micellar cleanser for face, gel wash for face, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant. :eek:Apparently I saved £9.96! Tbh I am close to running out of all these so shouldn't be as dear as this next time and some things will last more than a month because I bought extra on offer.
In this budget pot I also bought some sensitive facial wipes from Tesco at 60p that Hairy recommended and will give these a try.
P.S. I've just started using the cheaper Boots No 7 matte foundation that I bought to replace the dearer Cininque version. It's very nice - doesn't feel as thick as the Clinique but seems to stay quite well. I'll finish the bottle and see how I feel at the end of it.
Got my monthly Tesco shop delivered - £49.22. The greengrocer today came to £12.36.
Entertainment budget took a hit today as I spent £45 on two tickets to the new Christian Dior Exhibition at the V&A. They were £20 each and I donated £5 to the Museum. I'm treating DD as she's so generous to me in so many ways.
Non-Budgeted spend today was £8.03 in Co-op for the food bank. I should have really have included this in the Tesco shop! (Duh). I'm going to set a budget pot up for this in YNAB.
Scheduled things for the month - I'm meeting a friend after work next week to catch up as we didn't see one another before Christmas. We're off to Pizza Express as we have a 2 for 1 pizza voucher.
Also DD and OH are definitely coming down next weekend so will be having the previously cancelled Thai meal.
Three family birthdays as well this month! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

......oh and I forgot to mention the cleaning! I did the dreaded WARDROBE! It wasn't as bad as I thought - don't have anything to go to either dress agency or CS as yet. I cleaned the inside of the wardrobe before I put everything back.
The rest of the routine was a bit of a doddle. I did my normal Saturday cleaning session. The actual Cleaning task was to run white vinegar on a hot wash through the washing machine and clean the rubber gaskets round the door. The Organising was the Laundry (i.e. Utility) room shelves - don't have a utility room - hee hee!:D. Maintenance was the bathroom which I had done.
So all went pretty well today! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

It sounds like you're doing well on many fronts SSG, cleaning, spending less and eating more healthily. Family birthdays do tend to upset the budget though .
It's a lovely idea to treat DD to the exhibition. I hope the face wipes are okay but I won't be offended if you don't like them.
