I'm lucky in that I shall have little Ronnie staying, from 17th Dec to 6th Jan, so I have a ready get-out in the unlikely event that we get any invitations to go anywhere
Wild and woolly weather in Concrete Cow Country today - had a slightly soggy Spaniel this morning after her walk, but she's good about being towelled dry. Candy how's Bonnie about having feet and undercarriage dried?
Stay warm and dry, folks.
Gotta go, the WM is cheeping, and Mr LW is studiously ignoring it.:cool:
Not Candy, but Miss Border Collie adores being dried, especially her face, pick up a towel and she stands with a canine grin waiting for us to begin. Great news about having Ronnie to stay.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
LW Bonnie's fine with being dried all over, just kicks off in the shower :eek::rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Eugh!!! We went Xmas shopping today - we normally try to do it all on line but is some things I actually need to go and pick
it was so busy!! Gladly we got all that was needed so I won’t have to venture out to the shops again!! Used a lot of spoons today so hoping to have an easy night tonight too.
Tomorrow we are having a pj stay at home day with the kids and we are going to get all the Lego out and play and maybe repair some building that have been ‘damaged’ we might write our Santa letters too!
Busy week next week so lots of prep to be done tomorrow to help make things move a little more smoothly - meals to plan - struggling with my meal plans again so I must try a bit harder, especially as I want to start buying some food for Xmas to put away, have been thinking about getting.
* Turkey crown
* pigs in blankets (made up to freeze)
* crisps
* crackers
* cheese (maybe closer to the time)
Not sure what else I can get but I don’t want to buy loads and would hate to buy stuff that got wasted! Would love anything I can make and freeze or for the store cupboard?
More lists I’d imagine!!Living the simple life0 -
MrsLW, that sounds awful. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Hugs to everyone with the virus/flu illnesses, just what you all need on top of the other health problems.
I got the results of my MRI and it wasn't great, the growth is now 14cm and they have to open me up full length of my stomach down wards.
It also means a full hysterectomy.£36/£240

SOWORRIED I'm so sorry to hear about the growth hun, but I had tge vertical incision when I had my hysterectomy, and removal of extensive endometriosis, n it wasn't as scary as they made it sound. Xxxx :A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Soworried I’m sorry to hear the result of the MRI that must have been a shock!
I should be making a chilli but I’m sitting on the sofa with a cuppa and a cat on my knee! Very tired still today - popped to the shops this morning to get some bits for the week and it was freezing cold! I honestly thought the rain was snow as it was that icy cold! Came home and sat down again and haven’t moved yet, the cat has came to warm me up at least!
DH and the kids are having a Lego building day - the mess is unreal but they are having fun! I’m supervising from the sofa and stopping the arguments! We were going to write letters to Santa but they are no where beer finished so might leave it until after bath. I love the winter when we get days like this in the house together.
Hope everyone is ok and keeping warm - I’m loving all the doggie talk toowe always had collies when I was younger and they are such intelligent dogs.

I've mentioned on here that I have been having EMDR therapy and I've been feeling really depressed the past two days. Yesterday I started crying about something that happened when I was about 11 years old.
I knew that this could happen as my therapist said it might. I looked online this morning and some people say it gets worse before it gets better. I'm really not looking forward to my next appointment.
I just tried to lie down and take a nap for a while and listened to one of my visualisations and I feel a bit better than I did earlier.
It doesn't help that I'm still feeling ill, I still have an annoying tickly cough and I could only get a doctor appointment for this Friday.2025 GOALS

Wednesday I’ve never heard of that before? Maybe mention it before your next appointment and they should be able to advise if it’s a usual part of the process? I’ve never found any sort of therepy that works yet! I have tried talking therepy and meditation but I didn’t get anything from it .... I am fascinated tho as I’m sure there is something for everyone out there.
I’m going to bed now as it’s late! Managed to make my chilli and even get some chores done too - bring on Monday morning school run and then work! At least tea is sorted!Living the simple life0
