We finally have power!! 2 days with no elec downstairs!

Cranky I came home after the afternoon School run so the tap had been on for 7 hours!!

Things are still damp and drying out but we have lights and power again so I’m happy! It was a stress I could have definitely have done without

The meal plan has gone out of the window, we have had chippy chips the last 2 nights - the fridge contents didn’t survive (was only the milk that went off) but I managed to get the freezer stuff put in the little freezer plugged into an extension cable into an uneffected power supply! :j

Went to turn the electric back on yesterday and the fridge sparked and blew so the fridge freezer is gone :( it was 10 year old and took most of the water running down it all day so it was amazing that that was the only loss we suffered! Still had to wait till tonight for the electrician to ok it all.

Very grateful for the candle supply and the planning that meant we didn’t suffer too badly - we still had power upstairs and the heating so we survived. Got the heating and storage heaters on drying the walls and carpets so think the gas and elec bill is going to be high!

Finished work for the week so going to send tomorrow airing and sorting the house out and getting a new fridge freezer sorted too *sigh* it’s always something isn’t it

Hope everyone is holding up well and hugs to those who are struggling

Now it’s dark at 5pm and the darkness closes in so early I feel it’s already bedtime once we’ve had an early evening supper and feel so tempted to just clear off to bed with a book or watch the tv in bed snuggled under the duvet.
Does anybody else opt for earlier bed times in winter?
  • I don't think I mentioned on here that I'm trying the CBD oil for pain. I haven't noticed much difference. I think it does make me feel more relaxed, but the pain feels the same.

Oh, interesting, thanks. Aw, dog rescue. All my animals are rescues.

I got the Charlotte's Web from CBD Oil if anyone wants to know.:) I do feel less anxious and a bit spaced out on it. It hasn't made much difference to the pain, however.

Candygirl love the Bonbat pic. Surely though she should have white and silver wings? After all, she is a little angel. :D

No, no, no!! I have enough trouble with insomnia, I'm not about to opt for yet more hours lying there unable to sleep, and with all the worries in the world whizzing round and round in my head; better to have my mind occupied for as long as possible.

Got a new Canine booking - sweet little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She came for her "meet'n'greet" visit today, and although she's generally wary of people she doesn't know, withing a very short time she was beside me on the sofa, and actually half onto my lap. :D

    Evening!

I’m still here - having a very crazy week! New fridge freezer is getting delivered on Wednesday so still have no fridge which is a pain. The house has dried out and finally getting back to normal again.

I’m a bit worn out and it was all a bit much so I have invested in some serious me time and I’m loving it! Sat with a face mask on right now after a lovely shower!

I’m not eating great as the cooking has slipped - there has been more take out and convenience food so my stomach is not happy and I’m going to have to really take it easy with what I’m eating as slipping off the GF wagon and eating !!!! has not made me feel good at all

Hope everyone is doing well and plodding along nicely!
