This isn't a joke - this is why I get into debt. I really want something and the urge takes over.
I really really really really want an iPhone 7 Plus. I'm doing the thing where you justify the want just because you want it.
I really need someone to "shout" at me. I don't have the cash - it would go on Very account, a credit card that I've just cleared, spend my emergency fund just to have it. Despite me knowing this, I still want it - and one bad moment and I'll buy it on a whim.
It's like my skin is itching - so please - please be mean and tell me not to get it. Husband's at an interview so can't call him.

I'm as much of a gadget freak as anyone (no seriously!!!) and this time I'm not as tempted... I am going to wait for the 7S to come out and THEN wait for the 2nd edition and any bugs to be ironed out... I don't want a phone that might burn my house down like the Samsungs!
It looks GREAT... BUT we all know the first edition will have a few bugs and then I might as well wait for the 7S which is ALWAYS better than the basic model anyway... hehehe
Yes it's postponing it but the more I can do that the easier it isDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

The "desire" has never been bad with previous iPhones, I've waited before upgrading or I've bought them 2nd hand. I blame the keynote speech, I watched it all and I was completely sucked it. I can't describe it, I feel heartbroken that I don't have it and when I feel like this I go and buy things. £819 for a phone is twice the cost of my husbands car!!! But I'm sat just wanting it. I'm going to have to take all my cards off amazon/change passwords to accounts/demand my husband hides my cards. Wow totally bowled over by this horrible feelingMoney money money.

Do an Andy Murray.
Sit in a bath of cold water with plenty of ice cubes piled around you. The urge to buy an iPhone 7 will soon disappear!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I think Spadoosh has summed this up nicely...but here is my tuppence worth...
If you can list more reasons to want it than how many £ of debt you have then go for it. Treat yourself.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.

As it will cost at least £700 to buy do you really need us to bash you to tell you this is a waste of money?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. You have already put it into perspective for yourself by saying it's twice your husbands car.
Putting it on Very is a big no no as why pay over the odds for something that is already ghastly overpriced.
Think of what dent you could make in a debt with that 700 quid.
If you want it so badly save up and buy it
In the mean time don't torment yourself do not sit and look at it online or anywhere. You do not NEED this phone.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Have you actually tried holding even a model one in your hand?
I was bought a 6 by a loving husband (dear, mad, impetuous fool), and had to use both hands to operate it as my hand was just too small. So I returned it with invoice, got a full refund & bought a 6SE instead - cheaper, almost all the fun and small enough for me to use.
Give the 6SE a go. Small but full of fun And Loads Less Expensive.
Though in comparison with a car? Ulp. Step away from Apple - they uninstall your budget...0
