    Hi
I would check to see how long it would take you to pay it back on Very and if they charge interest add that in as well.
If there is no interest then work out the interest you would pay on the card with the highest rate (because if you are paying Very then somewhere else you are having to cut back)
Then see how much that "itch" will REALLY cost.
    Its an eyeopener.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

  • As it will cost at least £700 to buy do you really need us to bash you to tell you this is a waste of money?

Well yes.....otherwise I wouldn't have posted. The urge to buy things can overshadow the reality and consequences
    Money money money.

  • I'm sat staring at my whatsthecost snowball just envisaging knocking two months off my debtfree date.

What is wrong with me! I'm disappointed with myself. Thank you everyone for your words of "discouragement" I'm starting to come out of the [STRIKE]drug [/STRIKE]purchase haze

Still going to hand the debit cards to OH when I get home though. And stay away from shopping websites.
    Money money money.

  • OK The phone you have now works?

So why do you want another one? Does it make you a cup of coffee? Do the ironing? No of course it doesn't.

All you want it for is to flash it in front of other people who you will hope think 'Oh look at Abby, isn't she marvellous having this brand new phone'

No they won't the majority will think' look at Abby throwing her money down the drain and posing, what a p....'
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

There's nothing wrong with you. You rocognised how you were feeling - asked for help with dealing with it - and didn't buy the phone.

    That's a well done from me Smiley-Well-Done-82378.gif

The new iPhone is complete rubbish. It's extremely overpriced, has only 2GB of Ram. YOu can get an Android phone about 3 times better by paying half. The only reason anyone would buy it is because of the hype and because it's a bragging device.
  • Isn't it more than you monthly salary?

    DON'T DO IT!!

I have friends that were pre-ordering at 8am this morning. A couple of years ago that would have been me, I have the 6 at the moment on a SIM only and don't intend on changing for a long time....

DON'T GET IN MORE DEBT OVER AN IPHONE!

Does it really only have 2gb?

Wouldn't they need more for the new chips/cameras (what with having two cameras blah blah)

  • I say buy it...

...IF you can name 5+ things about this phone that will meaningfully improve your life compared with keeping your current phone.
