What is it that the new iPhone can do that your existing phone can't?
How many hours will you have to spend at work in order to earn the money to pay for it?
I just don't understand why people buy new phones so often. The ones I've had have lasted at least 4 years or so before it seemed worth replacing them.0 -
I have a camera though as well sooooo what is it that makes me want it!
It's died down now. I'm no longer on the debt accruing edge. Phew. My current iphone is fine, no dents, no knocs. All fine. 64gb for music, don't need a bigger phone
And like I said, I wasn't wanting it because I'd compared the phones, it was just this weird but very severe desire to possess it. Sounds morbid.
8.9% of my current debt as wrigglepig said. Wow, that really put the dampener on things
Which I wanted obviously...... imagine spendingg nearly 10% of my current debt on a phone! I'd deserve to be slapped with that wet kipperMoney money money.

Great that the urge has passed - take a look at this post in a few months time, I bet it will amaze you that even the thought of spending that amount on a phone crossed your mind!
Good self discipline though and all the best on your debt free journey!0 -

Sit in a bath of cold water with plenty of ice cubes piled around you. The urge to buy an iPhone 7 will soon disappear!
As will those ice cubes.....0 -

Danger is, how I felt this morning I could sit in the cold bath thinking...what could make this more tolerable!
Don't worry iPhone 6, you are all I need.
I hate the feeling that you have debt but want something. It's unbearable. I genuinely felt sick this morning!
I guess people all have different reasons for having debt, mine is that I'm a magpieMoney money money.

What's your hourly pay rate? Work it out from your salary if necessary.
How many hours would you have to work to afford that phone? And what else wouldn't you be able to afford if you spend the money on that?0 -
I Phone 8 will be out before too long then you'll regret buying I Phone 7.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
