Thanks MSE, now we can finally have free access to all 3 credit reference agencies reports. :)

It's good that they actually managed to do it!.

But unfortunately i get an error when I try to view it so it's probably not fully active yet.

Keep trying, mine did lag for about 20 secs and then it opened up fine. :)

Nice to see under the section 'Overview of your Credit and store cards' that is shows you what % of your card limits you are using.

Mine is working ........ but ......... no dates given against the monthly account reporting, just latest reported date and loads of ticks and balance payment amount boxes. Santander 123CC just reporting balance history, no payment history. Maybe still needs some tweaking.

Also shows my credit card limit changes going back to 2004

It is also printable (as with Noddle but not ClearScore).
  • Well done MSE! It's excellent that we can now view all three credit reports for free

Excellent, I am very impressed with the way MSE have done this!

Only one time lag in my credit card limit which was increased in mid January but is not showing on my MSE report dated today. I have a £2 Experian report currently on order so it will be interesting to see if that has been updated. Cannot complain though as the MSE version is free and is definitely much better constructed than the Noddle and Clearscore reports.

I have tried and failed to join this service. Is it worth getting a report from Experian to find out if they have any bad data on file (using the £2 statutory report), or just ignore this and use my Noodle account instead?

There are a few reasons which may stop Experian from being able to verify your identity; for example, you may have a ‘thin file'. This just means there may be too little information held about you to be able to verify your identity. You may also have moved house recently – if this is the case, it can take a while for electoral roll records to be updated and for lenders and utility providers to update Experian with your new details. Or it may be that you answered the verification questions incorrectly.

None of these apply to me - but I am one of what appears to be an increasing number of people who were able to access the site, but then for no apparent reason, no longer pass the verification checks.

Is there any update as to whether those who fail verification checks can actually speak to anyone to get verified so they can actually join? I don't understand why I can't be verified; I'm logged into Experian credit matcher right now, they know who I am and all the information matches what I am putting into MSE.

It's just very frustrating that there's a black hole for verification failures, and there should be a mechanism to prove you are who you say you are.
