    I really shouldn't have loaded this thread as I'm on download limited 4G. I think it would suffice for a Win 10 monthly update but certainly not many more agarnett posts. Time to visit ignore user I think.

    @agarnett

    Please stop thinking you are the spokesperson for all Home users, you are not. They are not all having the difficulties you appear to think they are.
    The continual digs at professional IT people seems to suggest that you have an axe to grind in that direction.
    I guess the revelation that you were in PR explains the long winded posts full of self promotion.......Well done, seems you still got it years after retirement...

    Dont be silly Rum Rat. I never said I was in PR :rotfl:

    I was in a role that partly was about bringing some human face to IT at my employer because ... err ... they weren't very good at it themselves, thinking themselves well above the normal users of IT systems :p

    Can you speak for Home Users who haven't a clue what hits them when W10 Anniversary Update hits ? If so, please please please go ahead and share your experience of the pitfalls as you now know it :D

    Must just pop out though . I feel a sudden urge to dust off an old favorite cassette and pop it in my car cassette player on the way to Tescos - that is if Audi doesn't suddenly cripple the whole music system the moment I insert the tape!

    I suppose the ramblings of an elderly gentleman can be forgiven. So enjoy your drive.....

    Nobody wanted Audi to stop fitting tape decks. Lazy Audi.Everyone still uses tapes. You're an Audi fanboi.

    Set your connection as "Metered".

    If using WiFi then:

    Or this registry tweak if you're using a 'wired' connection:
