How can it when Oman Air operate a B787 aircraft on a significant sector of the journey with nine seats across in a 3-3-3 configuration using a fuselage with a diameter smaller than Finnair's A350 aircraft, who incidentally use this on all of the journey LHR-HEL-BKK, meaning the economy passenger has less space overall, it's physically impossible.

3-3-3 economy seating on B787 aircraft has been universally criticised, why are you ignoring this and strongly recommending flights in economy on this aircraft?

Seems that you are desperately trying to deflect attention from your pitiful recommendation of FinnAir at £455.

You seem to forget that it was you who brought Oman Air up in post 2. Why have you waited until post number seventy before mentioning seat width. A fishy smell around your actions.

I've flown with Oman on two different occasions and had no problem with the seating on the 788...which of course is only on one leg of the journey.
On one leg their seat pitch is far superior to FinnAir's offering and on the other, comparable.

Still scrabbling around desperately, looking for your credibility? Forget about it, It's long gone.

Never mind the seat: what's the vodka like on Oman Air? Presumably on Finn Air it is good...

The last time I flew on an Islamic airline (Gulf Air) they told me the coffee was only for business class passengers, so after that trauma I prefer to fly on Buddhist or Hindu carriers.

Whilst you claim significant part in the journey, in fact it is the shorter leg. The longer leg is on the A330.
Whereas you spend the whole of the FinnAir journey at a seat pitch of 31".

So, that means, overall, Oman Air is better as you have more than half the journey with a 34" seat pitch against all of FinnAir's at 31".

I know which most people would choose. Especially when having to pay £100 less and getting a 30kg luggage allowance instead of 23kg.

You've really not done FinnAir any favours with your crazy thread.

Surely you are punch drunk by now. Give it up man.

Flew with Gulf Air in June. Much better than I expected. Missed my flight and they said "never mind, we'll put you on the next one" with no added charge.
Crew were very friendly. Seating was fine. Tea and coffee freely poured :)

You have more personal space on Finnair because the A350 aircraft gives more shoulder and elbow room for all passengers without window passengers being pushed against the window wall and aisle passengers getting their elbow hit more often by people and carts passing down the aisle. The pitch is 31-32" https://www.finnair.com/go/2016.9-31/Images/fleet/new/A350_seatmap_en.jpg Finnair gives more space for the whole of the journey, without painful sectors on poor space aircraft such as B787.

That's fine. If people choose to believe you, they can spend £450 to £550 on an economy ticket with FinnAir.
More sensible people would spend that money on a direct flight with THAI or EVA with their superior seat pitch and seat width, amongst the other advantages.

I'm happy to pay £350 to fly with Oman Air.. I suffered no discomfort on the Oman Air flight that I haven't felt with any other economy seat and furthermore you haven't even flown on them, so your opinion is virtually worthless.

Now, let's look at a review:
    "the seat is not comfortable"
    A Murray (Hong Kong) 29th August 2016

Hong Kong to Amsterdam via Helsinki. I was looking forward to experiencing the A350 for the first time, and first impressions were positive, nice cabin, nice lighting, fresh and clean. However the seat is not comfortable, and I was lucky enough to have no one sat next to me and I felt uncomfortable for most of the journey. The aisle of the aircraft is very narrow so walking to the bathroom you feel somewhat claustrophobic. It isnt all bad, the tail camera is cool, as is the wifi, the staff were also very pleasant and efficient on a flight that was only 60% full. Finnair cheapens itself by trying to up sell passengers into 'Economy Comfort', shamelessly making announcements that you can pay 60 euros to get yourself a seat, which is then followed by a stream of passengers filing forward to take a look at what they get for there money, about 20% of those who ventured forward paid and took there new seats, which offer marginally more legroom and an amenity kit, but the process is distracting and creates a very low cost airline sort of feel. Flight was delayed on the ground for 1 hour 30 mins, despite other aircraft around us also departing for Europe leaving with less delays. Flight was smooth, arrival in Helsinki was 40 mins behind schedule, transit was simple, but took longer than the advertised times. Transfer flight on a321 to Amsterdam was fine, nice aircraft, good legroom, cheap that you have to pay for newspapers, and you are only given water, tea, coffee or blueberry juice, no snack on a flight of 2hrs 30 mins, although again up selling to a variety of food and beverage choices is done in earnest. Arrival into AMS was 15 mins late.

That kind of spits in the face of your made up review, doesn't it?

    In contrast, Oman Air seat reviews;

    "comfortable seat with generous pitch"

    "love the layout"

    "decent pitch good layout"

    http://www.airlinequality.com/seat-reviews/oman-air/

That's for the longer A330 leg.

Looking for fair handed reviews of the 788, as I don't want to appear biased.
I am looking at the objective data.

I feel sorry for FinnAir and the damage you have done to their brand through your actions.

    Another A350 review http://www.airlinequality.com/airline-reviews/finnair/page/4/

    ""seats were comfy"
    J Keep (United Kingdom) 8th April 2016

We were pleasantly surprised by the A350 on our flight from London Heathrow to Helsinki, it was very airy and notably quieter than any other plane we've flown. Seats were comfy and it was great to have a decent range of films for the relatively short flight which is mostly on an A321. The cabin crew were mostly friendly, if slightly business-like. I would say that even a small free snack would be appreciated given the price of flights, though their trademark blueberry juice is very tasty. Transfer at HEL onto regional A321 flight to Kittilä was quick, pleasant and easy. Only slightly disorganised part of the trip was when the plane stopped at Ivalo en route to Kittilä where cabin crew made no effort to get pax to sit in their designated seats, leaving many to change around and find a seat. Overall though we were happy flying Finnair and given the fact they're the only option on that route, would do so again.
