So what did you do differently this week? I bet your really pleased with that.

Relaxed mainly! We found out on Friday last week he finally have the mortgage and we are moving next week - I think the stress was making me gain weight!

Then I am pleased that some of the stress has gone. But I am a firm believer in stress affecting weight loss. I've been really struggling, but my stress level was really high. Now I've calmed down I'm hoping to lose a bit more.

OMG, 8 weeks till by xmas work do and I can't fit into the dress I wanna wear!

Looks like some intensive toning up for me. Luckily I have my callanetics video which is amazing for toning up v. fast. I am at home a lot at the mo so find myself eating lots of crisps, toast, crumpets and other naughties from the freezer.

Am not going to pledge a weight loss, but I pledge to fit in my lovely dress by december 1st!

Also need to go through quidco to find a site where I can buy some new undies to wear under dress! :rotfl:

Hi Chloebelle, Figleaves are on Quidco - bit pricey compared to Asda bargain basement bras, but lovely for a treat!

I've decided to give Slimming World a miss for reasons explained on my DFW thread. Basically, I know I have the will to do it on my own and I can save on over £100 in membership fees and weekly class costs by doing it alone.

You lot on here can be my class. I'll be off to weigh later but only to my spare bedroom and not a draughty church hall...:T

I think I might have to exchange these scales for a set that tells me I weigh a bit less.....

20 stone 12 lbs is the scales verdict so the aim will be to lose 5 stone 12 pounds by May 1st. A stiff target maybe but the weight will fly off me to start with then settle down to a 2/3 lbs loss each week. That works out at just over 2.5lbs a week and at that rate, I'd be the weight I was ten years ago which would be great.

Good luck Yeovilmac! why not look at it half a stone or a stone at a time on the journey but still keep the 5 stone 12 as the final milestone? may seem easier if you treat each 1/2 stone as an achievement. you'll get there though.

    Hey Yeovil
I had about the same to lose originally, roughly five stone. I'm currently sat at just under half way, I've lost about two stone. This in nine weeks, I'm hoping this will continue until at least christmas at which stage (if I continue to lose at the same rate) I will be at the three and a half to four stone lost mark. I've never been slim, at 12 years old I was already 12stone so I really do want to see what I look like at my ideal weight. I dont honestly think it will happen though, too many times I've started diets and given up after a few weeks. This is the first time I've a) lost this much weight and b) stuck to a diet for this long.
I suppose I just wanted to say you arent alone and that if I can do it (so far) then anyone can.

I have good news and bad news....between you and me, I just had a sneaky peak at the scales and THEY LIKED ME!! Hurrah!!! Bad news is we're having pizza for dinner. Low fat pizza (well, Sainsburys garlic chicken thin crust, and only half, but still!) x
