Boo-hoo. I'm in pain, I did an exercise DVD yesterday and thought it was a breeze, until I woke up this morning. My abs are killing me, does anyone know if I should be doing the exercises again to stretch the muscles or if its better to just not do the DVD for a day or two?:A:A:A:A:A:A0

Hi there,
First post on this thread ( thanks tigtag for pointing me in this direction ).
If you haven't read my other thread, I'm up for finally sorting my life out. Recently came out of a bad relationship, have a medium sized amount of debt ( annoying as I went bankrupt in 2005 ) and I'm several stone overweight.
The final thing is what this thread is about. I've just been down to Boots and found they've just changed their weighing machine from a quiet, unassuming one to a "speaking one" so that's it. I don't need to be insulted in public, if I wanted that then I would have stayed married...:rotfl:
So Slimming World tomorrow night it is. I have lost nine stone on the plans before ( the same three stone three times, I'm afraid ) and I'll be weighing in tomorrow night. I'm not shy about my weight, the scales will probably say "only one at a time please" when I get on them, so I'm happy to confirm that I'll weigh in at over 20 stone. Sounds bad but I am 6'4" tall so carry it better than a shorter person.
Anyway better stop waffling now, I'll update tomorrow night with the post mortem.
Martin

A bit worried tbh. I knew I hadn't been quite as focused as last week.I know I've probably put on a bit of muscle but I really don't think it's enough to skew the scales enough to excuse my blip
I thinkI was starting to look better but since Friday, it hasn't gone well. Friday night was bbq and someone's leaving do from work.- 2 burgers and a hot dog, pringles, mini scotch eggs and a ridiculous amount of alcohol on Friday night.
- Worst hangover for years which made me eat crap all day Saturday
(this stopped at midnight (felt even sicker) after licking the bowl of nigella lawson's fudge frosting for the chocolate fudge cake I made for my daughter's b'day today. - Croissants for b'fast today. Followed by prawn cocktail and garlic mushroom starters (shared between 4 of us) then roast beef dinner (huge plateful). In my defence, I did have 2 diet cokes and no dessert so that must cancel out something, huh? :rotfl:
Safesound, I'd go for a walk to stretch out a little bit if I were you. (She says with dog looking at her hopefully although he doesn't realise she has no intention of moving from the sofa today unless it's to go to the toilet or bed...)
Yeovilmac, I think the boots speaking thingy might work for me. Since I've changed the alarm on my mobile to say 'Go to the gym, fatty!', I've got up and gone every day I've set it! I look at it and switch it off then lie back and feel guilty.
I think I need to make it more competitive for myself. I did really well when I went to ww with a few friends years ago. Not the same doing it on my own. You lot are so supportive, I feel like I've had a pat on the back for putting a lb on! :rotfl: You need to beast me about it and tell me I've been bad
