One ebay sale, a found cheque from earlier this year and the £15 refund from the windscreen excess means I now have £80 - whoop!

The ebay sale has already paid so I'm going to transfer that and the £15 from my excess refund today - I need to get better at listing things *sigh* :)

Hi. Yes you can add that saving for September but not going forward. hopefully the extra money will come in useful.

Well done everyone, half way through now.

The echeque I was waiting on has FINALLY cleared so I can send my eBay buyer her item. £49 after fees & postage

Got stung a bit on postage for my Etsy sale to Czech Republic - £5.15 and I'd only charged £4 p&p. My own fault for not reviewing my prices.
Also £42 in cash back and interest from our bank account.

So finally caught up and am on £177 /300

What a lot of lovely money being made so early in the month:T. A lot of you are well on course to smash your target long before the month is through:j

OH went to the bank and came home with some new £5 notes. They're the first I've seen and I love them! He gave me 2 and didn't even want me to swap them for normal money:rotfl:. I'm adding that £10 to my total as it was 'unexpected' profit;). Is that OK, Aesop?

I hope you've all managed to keep dry. OH drove past the place where the Saturday car boot is held and he said the whole field was a lake:eek:. I'm definitely not going tomorrow morning even if the weather picks up overnight. Will force myself to spend the time listing more stuff on eBay instead.

lovely OH and yes you can claim it. DH was messing around with something and said here I have the new £5:note and DS said let me have a look. had to tell him his Dad was messing around and it wasn't the real one.
  • The cashier at OH's bank wouldn't let him have many. He asked for a most of the £200 he withdrew to be in fivers, he didn't care if they were the old ones. He always gets loads of fivers as, being a real skinflint, he seems to spend less by not breaking into a £10 or £20 note;). She said they were no longer giving out the old ones and as it was the first day of the new ones being available everyone was wanting them so he couldn't have many. I'm amazed he parted with 2 of them by giving them to me:rotfl: as he had to accept mainly £10s and £20s.
