Thanks. Well done on getting yours sorted remotely too:T. It made me wonder just what they do exactly but it worked. Mine wasn't the hub although I thought it must be after the flashing light display I was getting for hours. It was the actual broadband service itself so no wonder all my efforts with the hub connections and settings etc didn't fix anything:mad:. It's a pretty slow speed here but connection is normally reliable. The lady at BT said they'll phone me in a week to see if the remedy had been completely successful. Can't say fairer than that, I'm impressed:j. In my online account there's a log of my complaint and their response plus a diagram of the 'chain' from exchange to me that they are tracking. At least if I have to contact them again about the same problem (heaven forbid) I won't have to go through all the rigmarole again:j

I love that you can see your complaint logged and they have a diagram of what occurred.

she told me my settings were wrong. I think that means they put me on lower usage as my neighbours also have virgin broadband and although I kept receiving emails saying I was in faster speed etc I wasn't.

    interesting.

And I'm off the mark with an Amazon voucher for £5.88. I know I have £25 from pureprofile due soon and £4 from Shopitize, but I won't count them until they hit.

Feeling good to be up and running
