I came across the August challenge recently, and though what a great idea it is. I was going to lurk for a while and see how it works for other people, but I think I need to dive in and set a challenge. It's come at a good time for me, as I gave up my teaching job last term (after 10 years), so as of 1st September I am no longer employed. (*gulp!*) I already have a small self-employed business (book-keeping and tax returns), and I'll be doing supply teaching, so I guess that counts as employment and I won't include it in the challenge. So please can you put me down for £5 a day.

I'm off to a good start - £32 interest from savings.

I'm looking forward to hearing about other people's success, and getting some new ideas!

Well done to the people pushing ahead and making monies :T

Oh CBC - I know exactly what you felt like. I've had just the same happens to me a couple of times. It's one of the main reasons I have stayed with TT, as I just phoned them and they talked me through getting it sorted. It's soo de-stressing to know that back-up's there. Great you're now sorted and I bet you enjoyed that 'after the event' cuppa :D

Just £3 to add from regular scans but better than nowt.

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

Sorry, didn't manage to get back on here last night but it wasn't because of lack of internet connection:j. Everything seems to be running like a dream now, in fact a lot faster than it ever did before. Fingers crossed it's not just a temporary improvement:)

Yesterday morning I did a car boot sale despite a lot of overnight rain. The venue is a massive tarmac carpark so waterlogging isn't a problem:j. What I noticed is how dark it still is when I'm setting out my wares at 5.30, and nippy too:(. Looked very autumnal and I doubt I'll be doing all that many more really early morning ones this year.

Anyway, managed to raise £73.35 which I was really glad of because the buyers were very few and far between. Plus, I was selling some real back-of-the-shed tat :o. I packed up and left early (as did everyone else when the drizzle started again ). Glad I went though:T

    Have a good week, all:beer:

I cashed out £3 on my survey. I was saving for nectar but went for paypal.

also cashed out 50p on an app. I want to uninstall it but DS wants it on his tablet.

£3:amazon on sb while sale is on.

I won 40 points on instagc and cashed out $1 on instagc

glad you got Internet sorted CBC.

I had to phone virgin other day. they told me there was a fault in my area I didn't know. the lady in India looked at my hub remotely and said my settings were wrong and she adjusted them. DH says we have faster speeds now. although I have to remind him when DS is playing Internet games I have my daily apps going it, it will be a bit slower.

I was promised a refund which I haven't got yet I need to chase that. virgin usually offer £5 a day.

Right! I'm in! £300 seems a lot but I'm going to do this!!! It will go towards nearly halving one of my 3 debts so it SHOULD be totally possible! I'm going to keep the money separate somehow... to be determined! :)

open a separate savings account and transfer cash to it when you earn it. then use that for debt

Yep that would be logical, hence why to be determined - I'm looking at different options - ideally I'd like one with "pots"... just haven't looked at best buys for a while :)

yes those pots that cannot be opened are good. or a coffee jar empty with lots of tape around it so you can't jusy take the money out.

have a look on ebay sure you will find a bargain. don't forget cashback or nectar for ebay
