Did you get rid of the cakes Lois?

Not yet - they're still in the same place.

I've decided - I'm not going to eat any. Once my mind is made up I can resist anything including temptation.

The lads can have them tomorrow, although one of them could do with going to SW!

I did well yesterday and I'm planning to do well today! That informal WI at the surgery on Monday made me feel better knowing that despite a very social September I'm still in target range. GP's scales would be accurate wouldn't they???

      Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and beetroot
D: burger, fried onions, SW chips, tomato, mushrooms, green stuff (broccoli, mange tout, asparagus, peas).
Syns: scrape of spread, squirt of HP sauce, maybe chocolate

Just lately I've had a taste for ginger chocolate rather than the plain 70%. I assumed it would be higher syns as it tastes sweeter. Pleased that a bar is 6.5 compared with 7 for the plain. I have half a bar most evenings although it's a habit I should try and break.

Ended up on 14 syns yesterday as had a glass of wine instead of the Ryvita & butter! Think my head is still in France, LOL!

      Today's plan:

B - porridge made with water; strawberries & grapes
L - jacket potato; tuna mayo (1 syn for 2 Tbs LTL mayo); salad
D - duck casserole cooked in slow cooker (cooked yesterday just needs to be reheated today).

      HEA - milk
      HEB - porridge
      Syns - mayo 1

Love ginger chocolate, which one do you have? We had a free one the other day I think it was lindt, gorgeous..

Talking of ginger, I must got to lidl soon to see if their Gingerbread is out for Xmas yet - and the marzipan bars :o;)

Had a rubbish morning again at work, so chocolate has been eaten, not ginger though unfortunately.. had a word with the boss and I feel a bit better but still on the edge of tears boooo :(

How does everyone else cope with stress? Anyone got any tactics that don't involve face planting chocolate?

      On with the afternoon.. xx

No contest between wine and Ryvita denise :D
My DD got me onto the ginger chocolate Shala . She had a mixed pack of Green and Black's and passed it onto me. Don't know how many syns in that. (ETA :same syns as Aldi but obviously much less mse but nicer as a treat IMO as less sweet. ) I bought Aldi's and it's 6.5 for a 25g bar.
For stress I'd recommend a walk or a bath or trash TV, definitely not comfort eating unless it's something free like a pile of SW chips!

Me again. I'm sure you didn't want to know this but Lidl have some of their Christmas stock on sale. I bought DH some stollen bites and he says plenty of marzipan in them. Don't know syns, am trying to resist. 😃
