  • Yesterday involved a family breakfast at a French patisserie/bakers (croissants, crusty bread, French butter, apricot jam) and went downhill from there.......

    Let's just call it my BREAD-GATE!! ;)

    Today is better.

    B - nectarine, raspberries, strawberries

L - 1 x scanbran and Philly lightest (will get the higher fat one next time, worth the extra syns for the taste) 2 syns

T - roast lamb (I cut the fat off and I LOVE crispy lamb fat)! SW roasties, swede, Brussel sprouts, runner beans, Pinch of Nom Yorkshires, gravy. The Yorkshires were 3 syns for 3 enormous ones and I allowed another 3 for a little bit of gravy (because I couldn't be bothered looking it up)!

Plenty of fruit in the house and some frozen milky bar mousses in freezer if I want something later.

    Good evening :)

Good day today, plenty of BM, did the big shop, gardening, cleaning and ironing, didn't sit down until just now!

    B) Bacon and mushroom sandwich

    D) Chicken salad

    T) Cottage pie and green beans

HEXA - cheese on cottage pie

Syns - Half a bottle of rose left from yesterday and I have 17 syns left for the week - happy days :)

Hoping for any loss at all this week, I've been more or less angelic... WI Tuesday morning.

Urgh, I need to figure out what to cook for dinner when I'm not feeling well and there's not a lot in the house. Must plan better!!!

I always make sure I have a couple of decent sized potatoes, tuna, cheese, beans, eggs and some free savoury rice in. I might not make my speed in bleurgh meal but it's always syn free.

    Great result Mary H :)

Have heard from a fellow class remember that the new chip shop curry sauce is very sweet :(

I found this a lot with non-SW sauces and found a teaspoon of cumin works wonders.

We had some quorn mince in the freezer and a green pepper in the fridge so I've made a chilli. It's. It much speed in it but it's free, like you said, so I can't complain. Might add some extra cheese on top as a syn. Really beginning to feel naff now
  • We went for a nice bracing walk along the sea front this afternoon and shared a small portion of real chips and I had an ice cream :o but I think I'm within syns.

Does anyone else find the sw app completely useless? I typed in "chips" and it doesn't bring up chip shop chips! I even tried typing that in.

    Today:

B - 2 boiled eggs, wholemeal bread heb, lf marg 1 syn, pear
L - leftover spaghetti and pesto 2syns, big salad, cheese hea
D - jacket spud, beans, cheese hea, salad or veg for speed.
Snacks - banana, chips 8syns, ice cream 9syns

I make that 20syns which is what I'm allowed. I'm not sure on the chip syns though but I have a few spare from the week so hoping it's ok.

Had the SW Smoky Barbecue Chicken for my tea and had it with a couple bags frozen steamfresh veg. I had nearly eaten it when I remembered I hadn't taken a pic lol.

I enjoyed it and if my square bread thins hadn't been in freezer would have got one to mop the sauce up but instead I got a spoon and scrapped my plate.

Can you tell how much I enjoyed it small pieces of chicken , strips of pepper and beans in a lovely barbecue sauce nom nom

    This meal I recommend :)

Neighbour going to a different Iceland tomorrow and said if they see the chip shop curry they will get me one fingers crossed .

I bought some of the macaroon Hifi bars last week and they're really nice, just like a dark chocolate bounty  Apparently they've sold out at SW Head Office and once they're gone that'll be it until next year.

So gutted that they sold out so quickly, they're amazing.. Luckily my SIL doesn't like the ones she bought so she's given them to me :D I'm rationing to one a month until they come back in stock :rotfl:

Must try to drink more water too - ONLY MANAGED 2 GLASSES

I hate drinking water, I've tried to get a routine in place so it's less of a chore - down one large glass as soon as I wake up and a small bottle of water on the way to work - that way 2/3rds-1 litre is done before breakfast!

Haven't tried the curry sauce yet Beanie, what's the bit you're not sure about - is it too sweet like you said before? Definitely going to get some though just to see..

Glad you enjoyed the BBQ meal tweets:T at last, one that seems to have ticked all the boxes!

Went a bit off plan today :o
B - baked oats (heb) apple, choc shot (1)
    L - crumpets :o (gazillion syns)
T - mince kebabs, onion salad, mint yogut (1) butternut squash chips
    S - French fries (4) muller goodies (2.5)

Had a sneaky peak at the scales this morning and I got under 13 stone :j:j it was a bit too exciting so we celebrated with crumpets :o no logic :rotfl:
