  • Went to Chester with my best friend today and we had lunch at a lovely little deli. I had my Hex B for breakfast this morning before parkrun so I avoided bread and we had a salad bowl. It was gorgeous (except for the bitter, bitter rocket) cucumber, salad, tomato, beautiful minty spicy couscous, with home made coleslaw and I had tuna which didn't appear to have any mayo in it. I mentioned to the waitress and she said that the mayo is 'shown to the tuna' so there's hardly anything in it and the slaw had some mayo but wasn't drenched in it. Then I had the most divine chocolate and pecan brownie. So I'm estimating 30 syns for the day but I don't care. I don't think I've lost any more weight (again) and I'm bracing myself for a gain. Just a hunch. I finally reached target and I seem to be having issues just happily staying there. But I may be wrong so we shall see.
Going kitten shopping tomorrow - cant wait!! Will let you know how I get on even though it's not SW related :D
  • So without jinxing it, a good day today. My meals were

Breakfast : bacon, egg, mushroom and onion omelette HEA

Lunch : beef stew with rice and speed veg, WW banoffee yoghurt (0.5)

Dinner : vegetable stir fry with butternut. No noodles.

Portion sizes were reasonable I think. I have just put in the oven Weetabix muffins. Made with mashed banana (4 Syns), 10g almonds (3.5), chocolate Weetabix (HEB plus 2 Syns), will top with tbs nutella (4) Makes 4 muffins.

Total Syns 14. Consultant said I am allowed 20 cos of my size but will save these in case I go over another day.
  • Good morning all!

I've just got home from a wedding. I did plan on having a big fat salad before I went so I wouldn't attack the hog roast. I came off a night shift at 7am, got to sleep around 8 and woke up about 1. Wedding was at 4 but an hours drive away. The salad didn't happen (but the intention was there!).

Food wise today could've been worse. I had pork, coleslaw and potato salad for the sit down meal.

Didn't eat anything at the buffet which is good.

But my only real issue today is the sweets I've eaten. Why put sweets on the table!? I demolished way too many sugared almonds and love hearts. Oh well. No syns for me until next weigh in!

Now I think it's time for me to sleep! Zzz!

    Xx

Rowan Glen 0% fat free coconut yogurt (delicious)

That yogurt sounds lovely GT, but did you know it's not free? It's 1 syn for a 25g pot.

I bought some of the macaroon Hifi bars last week and they're really nice, just like a dark chocolate bounty  Apparently they've sold out at SW Head Office and once they're gone that'll be it until next year.

Been back at SW a couple of months and hope to get my 1 stone award next week. Just 1lb short right now.

Hi Sis! ;) Welcome to the thread and well done for your progress so far.

I'm trying a few Sp weeks to see if I can get things moving, I have 16 more weigh ins until my 1 year slimmingworld anniversary and would like to be as close to the 5st off mark as possible:o

I struggle to do a few SP days, so good luck with doing SP weeks. I try not to eat too many carbs as a rule but I do find I'm really hungry when I don't have them, and I know you can still eat other things but there's only so much speed fruit and veg I can snack on. 5st in a year would be a fantastic achievement though, I hope you achieve it.

How do you all find the exercise is affecting you? I really stall when I up my activity levels but it's the exercise that feels good and keeps me motivated! Any got any tips of keeping the exercise (5hours aweek currently) yet still having good weekly loses?

I haven't been doing any exercise this time and although my weight loss has been slow, I am steadily losing. When I first started (again) I had really painful knees so even walking short distances was impossible. They're much better now and I keep thinking I should try and do something regularly.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Morning! So the plan for today is.....drum roll.....to stick to the plan! Day 2 for me.

Breakfast: bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms - DONE BUT WITHOUT BEANS

Lunch : roast chicken, creamed spinach (HEA), Brussels sprouts, potatoes, broccoli - DONE

Dinner: shepherds pie with selection of veg. Might do a butternut topping instead of smash. - MY VERSION. USED MORRISONS GRILLED VEG 1.5 SYNS PER 100G. WITH BUTTERNUT TOPPING AND LEFT OVER SPROUTS AND CABBAGE.

Syns will probably be used for the muffins ( HEB) I made last night. Really enjoyed them. Must try to drink more water too - ONLY MANAGED 2 GLASSES

Hope you all have a good day
  • Had a very boozy night last night...as well as not going to bed until 3am - far too old for that !

As far as the meal was concerned the SW goulash was lovely and will definitely do again but the Apple Betty was yuck.

Got to be a good girl now for the rest of the week!

Sounds like you're in the zone rosy. Have a good day. Is it cream cheese/milk in the spinach for your HEA? I've never tried it.

On the exercise front, I got to target with almost no exercise at all. Basically because I'm a lazy s*d.:o As SW advocate Body Magic it must be possible to lose and exercise although I'm convinced it's the eating plan that's the most important part. I'm not knocking exercise though because I think it has so many other benefits. There's the argument about building muscle while losing fat that would affect the overall losses but surely that balances out over time, you cant just keep building muscle forever.

Don't worry about syns at the wedding rj. It happens. Reining back on syns for the rest of the week should help a bit.

Well done on your win greentiger. We woz robbed.

I've just put 8 portions of Bolognese in the freezer so we're OK for HM ready meals for a while. I always put one a week on my meal plan for flexibility.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: probably lentil and veg soup
D: roast lamb, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, red cabbage, cauli, broccoli, cabbage, carrots
Syns: HM gravy (I won't be removing all visible fat because I like it:D), wine syns.
  • You can't out exercise a bad diet so the eating part is much more significant than the exercise part. However exercise has other health benefits than weight loss - blood pressure, cholesterol levels, fat levels, mental health etc, etc.

I used Primula light, 80g is a HEA. I fry garlic with the spinach and then when it has softned(i use frozen spinach) I add the Primula. I have also used in the past laughing cow light cheddar or elemental, 5 of which is a HEA. It works just as well. Have also done creamed mushrooms in the same way.

    Time to get back on

I did start SW a while ago but hated the class leader who seemed to think changing days and charging when you couldn't make them plus telling everyone to ignore the new way was just plain messy.

I've signed up on line and just having my last non SW day. Brunch was scrambled eggs with 2 potato farls and a smear of butter. The farls are 5.5 syncs each so 11 syns plus tiny bit of butter (used the spray to cook the eggs) and half a spoonful of sugar in the coffee to wash it down so probably around 13 syns. With roast lamb planned for tonight (a rare treat as OH doesn't eat lamb but he's on a 12 hour night shift so invited son around for dinner) I'll go heavy on the veg but the couple of roasties and Yorkshire pud really throws today under the bus. Very bad planning.

DIL has just got her first half stone award so she has inspired me.

Fridge has yogurt , smoked salmon etc and lots of veg so starting tomorrow is a definite. Bought Boveril to drink to replace coffee with milk and half a sugar (I really don't like sweeteners in coffee) for most drinks .....and I even bought some Quark .

    Target is 4.5 stone.

Short term target til 30 October is 7 POUNDS. (In red for Shayla)

    MSE Florida wedding .....no problem
