Thanks for the welcome. To be honest maman it's really hard to identify the reason for not sticking to plan, especially as it's not a hard plan to follow. I think it comes down to lack of planning and preparation but also being ruled by emotions and lack of discipline. The other thing is that while it is eat as much as you like I think there is something to be said for portion control but also ensuring you replace one third with speed....not add one third to an already full plate.

So breakfast today was an egg, mushroom and onion omelette with bacon. Used HEA.

That's a good start to the day rosy.:)

I think you've got the pitfalls of SW analysed pretty well, now you just need to walk the walk!:rotfl:

For me planning and Speed food are the two key features. I always do a weekly mealplan (always have as it saves me time during the week) with associated shopping list and I can bore for England on the benefits of Speed food:o. It's worth keeping some easy Speed fruit handy so you can top up if you think your meals have been a bit light on veg. Satsumas are good for this. I buy lots of pickles (beetroot, pickled cabbage, cornichons) too as they are a good substitute if salad bits are running low. Personally I haven't had a problem with portion sizes but I've never really been a snacker so my large meals may be balanced off by the fact that I don't look for anything in between.

Today it's really miserable and damp here. I'm going to put some Bolognese in the SC as running short of HM ready meals. Good that Aldi is stocking 5% mince regularly now.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: either lentil and veg soup or JP with veggie chilli
D: HB steaks with onion and mushrooms, SW chips, green stuff (broccoli, mange tout, asparagus)
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine:j
  • Morning all (well it was when I started this post :p) welcome to the newbies :hello: well done losers and hugs to those in need :A

Well after a week back at work I fully expected to enjoy a lay in today! My body had other ideas, woke at stupid o'clock with various aches and pains. Finally got up at 7 so as not to wake other half (did anyway :o). To cap it all WI with +1lb . Being back at work has seen a drop in drinking, I was doing so well over the holidays but there is no time during the day to keep it up. Lucky if I finish 500ml bottle (usually finish it on way home :o).

Really tired so lazy day ahead, have a good weekend all (despite the lousy weather :()
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Hi all,

Been to WI this morning and have lost 1lb, quite happy with that as I lost 4lb last week!

Have finally put my target onto my card at group. Even though I've lost so much, I wasn't sure what weight I wanted to be but I've opted for 9st 12lb. Hopefully I will reach that - any more and I would look too thin. Obviously I can't be target member if I don't put a target weight in!

Has everyone here put a target weight in yet?

  • Hello

Well it's my 3rd week with SW but 1st really doing it as I was away and I lost - drumroll please (smug alert) - 5lbs!!

Really pleased with that though I do know a) pride comes before a fall and b) the losses are going to get smaller here on in.

We've got friends coming over for a meal and on the menu is stuffed mushrooms fir starters, SW Goulash for main and SW Apple Betty for dessert, so I won't be too bad!

Hoping to lose at least 2lbs this week to get to the 1/2 stone marker so will aim to fill up on speed food

Welcome to the thread rosylee, just try looking at your weight loss in half stones rather than the total it might seem less overwhelming. There are a few people on the board who have lost large amounts so they may be able to give you some tips. Do you have Instagram? There are quite a few ladies on there who have lost in excess of 10 stone, they may be able to inspire you.

:T Well Done on your lossShala . Did you get to help in the shop?

Thanks maman, didn't get to be shop lady this week as the previous shop lady still wanted to do it one last time. I'm actually glad as there was a bad crash on the way home so I wouldn't have made it in time!

I'm doing it next week though :D and  in equal measures :rotfl:

Just had our tesc0 shop and they sent me 18% fat mince as a sub :( that's gone back, so had to swap our meal plan around a little bit today as we were having lasagne!
    B - none
L - open chicken sandwich (heb) mayo (1) pom bears (4)
T - jacket potato, cheese (hea) BBQ pork (1) sweetcorn, salad, pickles
    S - apple, pb2 (2) choc shot (1)

    xx
