  • -1/2LB for me at class this morning.
I resisted the temptation to wear lightweight clothing today, even though it is warm and sunny, I thought that with Autumn weather looming I would go in my jeans and then I can't blame heavy denim for any STS or gain in the next few weeks.
    Today's food.
    He a skimmed milk
    He b ?
    B banana
    L sw quiche and salad
D chicken and broccoli pesto pasta (I'll have to check syns for pesto)
Snacks mango, nectarine and He b

    Back to work :(

I've been starving all morning too and have just eaten my dinner - long afternoon ahead.

    B) Mushroom omelette and beans

    D) Leftover cottage pie, apple, banana, alpen light

    T) Unsure yet

I have a punnet of strawberries, another alpen light and a mug shot to get me through the next three hours!

BM - The usual commute and a big clean when I get in.

    HEXA - Milk in tea.

    Have a lovely afternoon all!

I love the accounting for your syns, very responsible. I generally start from 105 on a Thursday after WI (even if I don't go) and subtract from there although it tends to be Friday evening before I use many. These days I just do it mentally but I used to write it down when I was getting to target.

    What's with the stars?

I'm going to use 'real' ham in my hash today. Some of the tins I've had recently look a bit too fatty to be free so I chopped up some of the gammon joint I cooked at the weekend. Which brand of tinned ham does anyone else use (assuming you do)?

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork and fried veg with pickles
D: Austrian hash (carrots, mushrooms, courgette, onion, celery) with runner beans
Syns: 2/3 for chorizo in hash, cheese (hopefully offset from HEA) and Benefit bar.
  • 1st day back on plan after 3 weeks off/holibobs!!

B - raspberries and Lidl free raspberry Skyr yog/quark thingy

L - met with DD and sat opposite her while she ate a huge club sarnie and a slice of delicious looking Jamie dodger cake!! I had a pot of tea and a diet coke :D

When I got home I had 1/2 of the baked oat cakes HEB I made this morning, dipped into Lidl blueberry Skyr and 2 Jaffa easy peelers.

T - I have got a home made SW stir fry out of the freezer, no idea which one it is (I must start to label left overs before I freeze them) :rotfl: I can see there is lots of speed veggies and noodles.

Snacks - I can eat the other 1/2 of my oaty "fairy" cakes and have loads of fruit ready to keep me going.
  • some fantastic losses rolling in - I'm hoping to lose a bit at weigh in tomorrow and still be within my temporary target range. Still miffed that I've not done better this time around on Slimming World but I need to get over that gripe!

Not expecting to have lost all of last weeks gain but at least 1lb of it should have shifted this week.

    Today:
breakfast: wheatbran breakfast 'cake' 1syn for 50g chopped strawberries cooked in to it
lunch: staff update day so the boss treated us to lunch out. for a change I was super good and had a rump steak with onions, mushrooms and tomato (3 syns for oil but I did ask for it to be dry), a free jacket (done properly wrapped in foil in the oven!) and peas on the side. my usual soft drink which is free :)
tea: I am stuffed from lunch so not expecting to eat anything at home later!
syns: 3 chocs from a box of celebrations = 7.5syn + the 3 allowed for the oil above
    hea: 250ml semi skimmed milk

not drinking wnough again or walking as much as usual recently :/

beanie - do rest and get better soon :)

Thanks for the chart shala, can I change mine to a target of 12lbs to lose in the 8 weeks or so?
Can I join the Halloween challenge please - 14lbs is going to be my target!
Thanks Lois Lane. I'll go for 12lbs then.

    All done :D

Well done on that loss rjhammond :T you may want to up your challenge target - you're only 2lb off it!

Hugs beanie and mrsR! Gentle ones though ;)

Have you tried PB2 or similar topgirl? It's powdered peanut butter with the fat content lowered so that you get a lot more for your syns. The cheapy version we have is 2 tbsps. powder = 50 cals so 2.5 syns.

Lush, could you post the recipe for your wheatbran cake please? Unless you've already posted it and I've missed it :o thought I could use up the oatbran i have in the cupboard using your recipe :D Thanks everso..

Went into Icel*nd today and got some hot and spicy chicken fillet thingies to cheer myself up as i'm in a proper mood :o they had that new chicken BBQ meal in there - the recipe looks pretty simple so I might just try making it instead of buying it. I'm sure the recipe used to be on the Icel*nd website.. must check. Will link it if I find it, anyone tried the meal yet?

e.t.a. it's not on the icel*nd website but it is on SW's http://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/smoky-barbecue-chicken.aspx

e.t.a. part 2 - anyone read the recipe - 700g chicken and it serves 2????? That's got to be wrong surely?

Good to see a loss there, Midge and New Me.

Oh, maman, the stars are a mistake! I didn’t notice they were there! I was trying out some different fonts at the bottom of my post (I do it in Word then copy it into the forum, because I was fed up losing my posts!). I am doing my best to keep myself accountable – even if my eating habits aren’t helping, I’m trying with the numbers, lol. I tried the 105 start and counting down and that was fine, just thought this might help me keep a tighter rein.

Evening all. Today's menu so far has been:
    Breakfast: all bran (heB)
Lunch: tomato and chili cous cous

snacks: fruit, heA milk in drinks/cereal; alpen light (3 syns)

Will be weighing in tonight, not feeling too optimistic based on my sneaky peek at the scales :(
