Hi all, I would love to join the challenge if I'm not too late? I have posted on here before but kept falling off the wagon. I tried SW online and it didn't do anything for me so finally joined a group. I lost over 10lbs but have had two holidays in the last two months so a bit has crept back on.

If it's OK to join I'll set a target of 9lbs please, I lost 1lb this week so 8 to go. If I can keep this up I'll be at target for my birthday at the end of Nov.

    Thanks!

I'd be careful with the syns in Cumberland sausage sue.I'm thinking that you may be talking about those curled up traditional sausages not the packets but I could be wrong.

    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Bettyboof for SOTW - well deserved!:T

I got on the scales again this morning and it was even worse than yesterday :( I'm really going to have to stop checking every day. I'm also going to have minimum syns this week - yesterday I only had 5 and no HEB. Today I'm going to try for the same or less. I'm looking for something to blame and I have a theory that it's something to do with the high humidity levels.

Shrimpy - welcome back. It's good to have a target to work towards, like a birthday. Good luck.

Well done for your 1st award MrsR :j

Beanie - sorry to hear you've been falling, hope you're okay.

MrsP - as a target member you have a 3lb 'buffer' which is to allow for normal fluctuations so it's perfectly okay to have a little gain, as long as it's not every week. Last time I went to group the lady in front of me had a gain and the weighing lady had that sympathetic tone of voice they use, and initially the lady being weighed looked a bit downhearted, then she brightened up and said "that's okay, I'm a target member!"

I'm on my own in the shop today - DH has gone off to play golf (see, I knew that's what he was after when he let me have a lie-in! :rotfl:) So it's just me for lunch which means I can have anything I fancy (within SW parameters of course). Not sure what it's going to be yet, I'll have to give it some thought, but we've got plenty of speed food to choose from, I was in Morrisons yesterday and there were loads of yellow stickered items. I might have some mackerel and salad.

Have a good day everyone - onwards and downwards! :D

Thanks for the chart shala, can I change mine to a target of 12lbs to lose in the 8 weeks or so? Weighed a lb heavier than I estimated when I took stock of everything yesterday.

Just going to take one day at a time and see what happens. Today's EE plan:

B - FF yogurt, 2 clementines, benefit light bar (1/2 HEB)
L - LO syn free chilli (mince, peppers, onion, chopped toms, passata, spices, kidney beans) with a small portion of rice
D - Salmon, broccoli, roasted sweet potato and butternut squash
S - benefit light bar (1/2 HEB), vanilla chai tea made with HEA of milk and 1 syn of honey, 2 peaches, mini bag of sweet and salty popcorn (4 syns)

Also planning on starting the exercise routines again, but starting with the beginners and working my way up (the knees are protesting a little too much sometimes)
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000

  • Morning all,
Hope we are all well :) Second from last day of holiday today, had the plumber in at 8.30 taking a radiator off the hall wall in prep for the plasterer at the weekend, and two kittens dispensed to the vets for the day to have their little operations! Does anyone have a money tree I can borrow?lol After weight loss stall last week I'm upping my game exercise wise this week while I'm still off, swum a mile last night, zumba tonight, dance class tomorrow followed by an aqua fit class on Thursday, I find exercise is more bearable if I go and talk to other humans..even if by the end of if I'm resembling a prawn-like shiny beacon crossbreed! Off into town for essentials today as underwear is only staying up by a wing and a prayer...why is it that (I've had the conversation with friends) noone likes parting with their old faithfuls and getting shiny new ones lol Menu today as follows:
Omelette & beans & mushrooms for brekkie, Chicken salad and hm coleslaw for lunch (2 syns for lighter than light mayo) and cajun chicken pasta (using a) and salad for dinner, leaves my b for scoffing 2 alpens this evening!

Recent discovery yesterday that 200mls alpro soya choc milk is an a(correct me if i'm wrong ladies thats what someone told me) I hope the info is correct as I normally struggle with my a choice unless i'm making cajun chicken, and I've been craving choc milkshake for weeks and it was yum!!

Have a great day guys :)
  • Can I join the challenge too? I can't see from my phone how long it's for, but if it's for the month of Sept then can I go down for 8lbs please? Correct me if it's longer!

Day 1 today. I've had a banana to tide me over as baby wants feeding but my day will look a bit like this:

B - omelette with cheese (hea), tomato, peppers, red onion and herbs, 2syns for ketchup/Brown sauce.
L - jacket potato with beans and salad.
D - tortellini (7syns) with homemade sauce of tomatoes, onion, garlic (1 syn for sugar). Side salad. Cheese (hea).
Snacks - banana, grapes, orange, cereal (heb) and milk (hea). Milk in coffee (hea).

I'm breastfeeding so get extra hex's, 10 syns there but will have something else to get me up to 15 x

Personally I am a little disappointed with the 2lb gain. More with the 2 than the fact it was a gain. So I'm going to go back to basics and stick to plan, lots of speed and aim for a nice loss again.
I think I'm still getting my head around maintaining. Not just what I have to do to maintain but also it being okay to gain weight? I'm not going to lose weight every week I'm in my target zone so it's mentally adjusting to the ebb and flow being a normal thing now rather than just aiming for a loss every week.

It does take a bit of getting use to mrsp and you do need to be vigilant. I'd suggest, unless you have any events coming up, stay on plan and really try to get close to the bottom of your target range. That'll give you up to 6 lbs to play with and then a gain won't seem so upsetting. That's what denise and I do. It's rare to have 6lbs gain.

That's correct 200 mls of chocolate drink is a HEA. It's 300 mls of original and 350 mls of Simply Mild if you ever have cereal. Your exercise is good for you and will help tuning but it's the (Speed:p) food that makes the biggest difference IMO katy.

I'm going into the city centre shortly so if I'm out for lunch I'll pick up a Pret tuna salad. If I last until I get home there's plenty of cold meat and veg in the fridge.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
    L: tba
D: salmon, SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes, green stuff (aspagarus, mange tout and peas).
Syns: squirt of syrup, maybe 3 syns of chocolate
