Hiya everyone, an overcast day today the sun can't get through at all.
But I am shining through with my menu today...
Breakfast.. Oats so simple A/B mixed berries.
Lunch.. Soup and a bread roll 6 Syns clementine
Dinner. Burger B. Mixed veg. New potatoes gravy 2 syns
Extra Ryvita 3 Syns 2 crackerbread 2 Syns. Fruit.
13 Syns.0 -
Are laughing cow cubes half a syn each? I've used my HEXA already and just ate two with the rest of my melon.
Top Bloke making an SW friendly stir fry for tea. He has the knack of throwing a random selection of meat, vegetables and spices together and making something amazing. Mine always looks like they've been run over.0 -
Thanks Lois Lane and greentiger.
So I joined up this morning, the class seems a little happy clappy for my liking (I'm really not a people person!) but I will persevere for now. Consultant seemed friendly, although she went through the plan really quickly, if I'd not done SW before I'd be a bit confused! There must have been 12 new members at least. Baby slept the whole way through! There were lots of other babies there too which was nice.
I bought the magazine so will read that this afternoon. I'll start the plan tomorrow as I had leftover non-SW friendly dinner to have for lunch today and didn't want it going to waste.
I'd like to lose 1.5 stone by Xmas, if I could do 2 stone I'd be delighted! Although I'm on the bigger side, I've never lost big chunks when dieting. I'm a tortoise!! I'm going to try persuade OH to follow it with me, he wants to lose weight but thinks it's a bit of a faff! He eats meat though so I'll have to look at that side of it for him.
EE seems the same as Green except only one HE A and B,but as I'm breastfeeding I get 5 HE's, 3-4 of which should be A's, this goes up to 6 in a month! I love my cheese* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

:T on your loss dominosue. You must have been doing something right.:)gettingtheresometime wrote: »Can I ask a question red target weights?
When I was with WW and with them there was a max & min weight that your target could be in.
Does SW have the same max & min ? I can't find anything (though there is a healthy bmi chart in the book) and I was told I set my target (which seems daft)
SW does have minimum targets which vary depending on your height. They're in one of the little books that come with the pack. I suppose it's to stop people getting obsessed and losing too much. AFAIK there isn't an upper limit although I think you have to want to lose at least 7lbs. Not sure what you mean by you've been told you've set your target. On the height weight charts there's a three stone band for my height all within the healthy range. I've plumped for bang in the middle but that's because it makes me a dress size I like. Unless you've asked for a target weight that is considered low enough to be unhealthy then you should be able to choose your own target. Some people go for an interim target and then rethink and lose some more. Others go target free and just keep going until they're happy wit their new size.flutterbyuk25 wrote: »So I joined up this morning, the class seems a little happy clappy for my liking (I'm really not a people person!) but I will persevere for now.

Good to see you flutterby. SW is a bit too happy clappy for me too but I persevered because it helped me get to where I wanted to be. It reminds me of those training events you go on where the content and methods are all pretty carp but you pick up good tips from the others on the course.
As you can have the extra HEXs because you're breast feeding, You could do EE with your partner and substitute your veggie protein for his meat and then have the same carbs and Speed veg. MrsR has been raving about Quorn sausage patties:D.Are laughing cow cubes half a syn each?
My EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold pork, fried potatoes and veg then blackberries with 0% yogurtgammon slices, new potatoes, cauli, broccoli, carrots
Syns: none but may have some chocolate or a Benefit bar0 -
Well I've gained 2lbs and I'm trying to figure out how I feel. I'll pop back later after group for a proper post0

Well I went and joined and listened to the welcome chat and talk - think all group leaders must promote the 'happy clappy' system !!
The initial weigh in showed me as being heavier than my own scales do but at least I can go by them every week now.
Already had Dinner sorted before I went but would love to know what 42g of Cumberland Sausage would go down on my food diary as please.
Had it with mashed potato, gravy, cabbage and carrots - so think there is only the gravy to syn there though mashed potato would be about 2 syns as well0 -

It hasn't helped GFB, however I have been eating Syns instead of drinking them. Tbh I think I can lose more weight when I'm drinking them! DH and I gave up alcohol for a month a few years ago, I wasn't doing SW at the time. We didn't replace alcohol with anything, just drank tea or coffee instead, and we didn't lose an ounce.

So I'm back after group. Consultant didn't go round the group as she was focusing on a new member talk for all of us. As the kids go back to school she treated today as a new start for a lot of members. It was somewhat useful and has kind of focuses me for the week ahead.
Personally I am a little disappointed with the 2lb gain. More with the 2 than the fact it was a gain. So I'm going to go back to basics and stick to plan, lots of speed and aim for a nice loss again.
I think I'm still getting my head around maintaining. Not just what I have to do to maintain but also it being okay to gain weight? I'm not going to lose weight every week I'm in my target zone so it's mentally adjusting to the ebb and flow being a normal thing now rather than just aiming for a loss every week.
*sigh* anyway I'm having a very lovely dinner of cucumber, tomato, yellow pepper, smoked salmon and homemade red pepper hummus with lots of garlic!0 -

Cumberland sausages vary by brand but looking at Syns Online the average seems to be about 3.5 syns per sausage.
My plan today:
Breakfast - all bran (heB)
Lunch - batchelors roasted veg cous cous - 0.5 syns
Dinner - Men's Health spinach & chickpea dahl - 5.5 syns
snacks - fruit, alpen light (3 syns), mini jammie dodgers (4.5 syns), heA milk on breakfast and in drinks
13.5 syns total0 -
Just popping by quickly to say 2lbs off and my 1 stone award at last! It's taken me a bit longer than I would have liked though!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
