Hi all
Maman, I'm on amytriptiline for my fibromyalgia and depression. I'm on a stupidly high dose but for some reason my body gets used to medication very quickly and it stops workingback to the docs next week to ask for something else and then I start physio on my whiplashed neck on Tuesday.
Today was the first day I've been up and about. I've had to rest my poor injured foot for a couple of days so I had lots to do today. Happy to report I got it all done. I went to Asda to get some Quorn sausage patties (1/2 a syn each- spotted in SW mag) and some 7Up Free Mojito flavour- and I managed to spend £44- oopsgot some very yummy stuff though. OH favours Tesco so I stocked up on the things that are only available in Asda.
Today's food:
B: Melon, mango, kiwi, pineapple, 2 x cups decaff coffee
L: HEXB 2 x HiFi bars (not good I know but didn't have time to stop for anything more!)
T: 2 x Quorn Gammon Steaks (2 syns) 2 X Birds Eye Steamfresh Garlic and Herb Infusion things (3 syns) Ainsley Harriott Aromatic Thai Couscous (3 syns) Mini Milk (1.5 syns) Pint of 7Up Free Mojito with ice.
S: Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, gherkins.
Syns: 9.5
Steps: 7,556
Ps to anyone who reads Take a Break, I'm in this week's issue- page 25*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

Mrs R~~Tell us more about take a break
I'm in the health pages telling the story of my polycystic ovaries and then my cancer. I'll post a pic in the Facebook group as my photobucket isn't working so I can't post it here unfortunately:(*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

lushlifesaver wrote: »thanks maman it was lovely - I had lasagne and garlic bread then we ordered a dessert to share but unusually for us we couldn't finish it! really nice though just to have a little break from normality.
if it means a gain tomorrow then I'm ok with that. I think I'm finally coming round to the idea that its ok to gain sometimes or STS and that there's truly no shame in it etc. big mental step for me
the trays are just little bits of nice/useful things in the toilets. not sure if i'm doing one in the gents yet but in the ladies theres combs, mints, mini hairspray, plasters, body spray, cotton buds, make up sponges, safety pins, a lint roller and face wipes. then theres a little poem basically asking that they use what they need and leave the rest for everyone else. I haven't spent a lot but I figure its enough to get someone through the reception if their hair gets out of place or they spill something on their outfit etc. in the disabled/baby change there's size 0/1 nappies ( 2 newborns coming) wet wipes and nappy bags plus a couple of tiny pots of sudocreme.
behind the bar I'm putting a box with paracetamol/ibuprofen, rennies in case we need them. I don't want to risk kids getting them but we can let people know to ask for them if needed
I couldn't think of much for the gents: lint roller, hair gel, combs, mints...then I lose it ha
Hospitality trays are a lovely idea, a young friend of mine did them
for her wedding a couple of years ago and I remember her saying it was hard to think of things for the lads, she eventually had the idea of aftershave samples, similar to these,

Morning all
Well, that's it for another year, back to normal hours now, which means we're closed in the afternoon except Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so we can get go out! I haven't been off site for 6 weeks and I'm stir crazy so I'm looking forward to Sunday - we're going to have lunch at a local carvery and then go to Exeter - this is our 4th year in Devon and we haven't seen Exeter cathedral yet!
I'm practising self control at the moment - a customer has been in every morning this week for a pain au chocolate and a croissant, yesterday he came back for more as the first lot were overdone in the microwave so planning ahead, I decided to put some in the warmer so they'd be ready when he came in. Unfortunately, this morning he decided to have 2 croissants and 2 pain au choc and took cold ones. So they're still there, all warm and smelling lovely, tempting me.....
(voice in head - "21 syns, 21 syns")
Funny thing is, I haven't had any wine for 6 weeks and I thought I'd struggle to go that long without any and it really hasn't bothered me. We might have our first drink tonight, or maybe I'll leave it until Sunday... *shrugs*
TIE - I agree with Maman about speaking to the Head about your concerns. It's not good to have that kind of stress to deal with. I used to have a very stressful job and it wasn't until I left (I volunteered for redundancy) that I realised how much impact my job was having on the rest of my life.
MrsRyan - thanks for the reminder about the Quorn sausage patties, I saw them in the magazine ages ago but haven't tried them yet. I was thinking a bacon, sausage and egg roll (HEB) a la McD's would be a nice treat. I don't buy magazines but I'll have a nosy in Take a Break next time I'm in a shop that sells them.
Lush - love the idea of the hospitality trays, I've never come across them. Mind you, I haven't been to many weddings recently, the last one was my son's and that was in 2010. Pleased to hear you're more relaxed about your weightloss.
Have a good day and a great weekend everyone.
