I was +2.5lb last night but I've had a very busy week with extras I wouldn't usually have so that's easy to reason with. back on it today.

breakfast: heb fruit and fibre with milk from hea, cup of tea
mid morning: Satsuma and some strawberries
lunch: microwaved sweet potato with prawns and some salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber) followed by grapes
    mid afternoon: banana
tea: chicken with bacon served with some salad and baked beans. also going to do some wedges (microwaved for 5 mins then in the oven with OHs chips and chuck a few mushrooms in the oven too :)
other drinks: pepsi max/ asda tropical zero sugar pop (like lilt)water
going to have a small ice cream tonight: askeys cup cone 0.5 syn and one small scoop of asda chocolate orange flavour ice cream - going to say that that's all my syns for the day!

Can anyone help me find a recipe please? It's a frittata that I think had asparagus and ham in. I cooked in over the summer but can't now find the recipe. I've googled it, been through my mags and books but can't find it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Edited to add that I found it in March/April mag.
  • Really struggling to get 100% on it!!!!!
Today Ive had a banana in a toffee yogurt,an orange and a jacket potato with ham and 2 sliced tomatoes.
Drinks have just been tea and peppermint tea.

:T well done mary and good for you getting some Body Magic in!

Have a great weekend lois. I think you've had a very successful summer. You seemed to be up for resisting temptation more than last year, do hope the pain au chocolat didn't get to you!;)Carvery is a good choice. I don't know if they're all laid out the same but I have to be strong at each end: the Yorkshires (have learned to say no thanks then more room on the plate for Speed) and the roast potatoes (when hopefully not much room left on the plate).:D I liked Exeter Cathedral, I seem to remember a fantastic collection of embroidered kneelers.

I took a free peek at Take a Break MrsR when I was shopping. Poor you, you really have had more than your fair share of health issues. I'm full of admiration for you starting studying all over again.:T I remember the lovely photo of you in your ball dress, hopefully you'll soon have another like that to share:).

Next week's meal plan and the food shop is done and I'm hoping for a good week coming up. SW friendly food starts today and low syn (i.e. minus wine syns:o) from Monday.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions, beetroot and pickled cabbage
D: sausages (2 syns), mash, cabbage, cauliflower, fried onions, carrots, peas
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gravy, weekend wine:)

TIE, hope you’ve survived [STRIKE]Information Overload[/STRIKE] Inset days. I absolutely hated whn the kids started back on Monday – a whole week of settling in; I always felt I was treading water establishing routines. A mid-week start was easier for the kids too.

I may have to hunt out a copy of Take a Break. Mrs_Ryan; sounds interesting.

We had flip flops available at my son’s wedding, with a wee poem, lush.

You’ll not know what to do with yourselves, Lois.

Good news re your loss, mary.

    Friday’s Fancies
Breakfast: poached eggs and beans on hexb toast
Lunch (out): baked potato with egg mayo (3?) and a very tasty salad (no dressing), a [STRIKE]very small[/STRIKE] slice of orange and ginger cake Does anyone have a Pinocchio emoji?
Dinner: hm “whatever I found in fridge” soup (onion, leek, celery, red peppers, carrot, broccoli stalks, asparagus, red chilli, paprika, baked beans), liberte mango yogurt (1)
    Snack: hexa cheese & grapes

    Night all.

The pain au choc and croissant were resisted!

I have been better at resisting temptation this year and that's because I've committed to returning to SW next week and I bought a 6 week countdown so I've paid for the next 5 weeks. I set myself a target to lose 7 pounds and I know I haven't done that but I'll be happy with any loss.

We may re-schedule Exeter as the forecast is good for Sunday so we may come back after the carvery to open for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Maybe we'll go on Monday.

Took the plunge last night and entered the Liverpool half marathon in April next year!! Also booked into a swanky hotel for 3 nights too at the same time. If I'm going to do such a feat I want there to be some perks as well!!

Bit disappointed to report a half pound gain this week. One of my ribs keeps dislocating and I had to take codeine to cope with the pain and I then didn't poo from Tuesday until this morning (which was no good for WI yesterday).

But I am sticking to the plan, and we shall get there eventually.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

  • Good Evening Ladies and Gents,

Please may I join in your challenge? I haven't posted in mse since before I got sick in February I don't think....sick enough to be hospitalised in intensive care for a week and in hospital for a total of 10 days with Pneumonia and a large Pleural Effusion- in short, at 36 luckily for me the Grim Reaper didn't manage to catch me, as the lung consultant told me that I was an accident waiting to happen...back in Feb lets just say my weight began with a 2 rather than the 1 it does now. I got on the sw and exercise bandwagon and from 19 Feb to date I have lost 7st 4lbs by myself, no groups apart from a couple on good ol bookface but am unhappy to report that things have now started to slow down...and I've still got more to lose...and I'm also finding certain things expensive, hence me turning up back here! The groups I'm a member of are all well and good but there's no one that you can actually have a chat to or post to, or just chew the cud over the latest "tweak or not to tweak" argument and generally "bond" lol. I'd really love to get to know some people on here for some additional support, I can't make the local sw group as my shifts are erratic, and it's just nice to have a thread and/or fb group where you can log in and join in at any time of day or night...I need likeminded people for a chinwag.

If I'm ok to join in I would like to lose 21lbs at least by Halloween, and I'll PM lushlifesaver to ask to be added to the group.

I hope to be talking to you all a bit more soon.

    Cathy
