    Wow, fantastic loss Ruby :)
    Good loss Orleo.

I have lost my way a bit but need to get back on track.

    Great NSV getting there :)

Evening everyone - it's been absolutely gorgeous here this afternoon, I hope the rest of the country have enjoyed some sunshine too.

When it comes to holidays and occasions (whether in Rome or elsewhere;)) I'm all for taking the hit as to me that's part of the way I live and SW is intended to be a way of life rather than a quick fix.

I agree Maman - my plan is for SW to be the basis of my eating habits for the rest of my life, but I know there are always going to be reasons to veer off the straight and narrow, it's all about getting back on it again. Having said that, that obviously works for target members like yourself, but I think I do it too often and it has the effect of slowing down my weight loss!

Well done Ruby, great loss! And well done for getting to target Orlao. :T

This is going to be a short post as my internet access is a bit unreliable tonight and I'm always worried I'll lose everything when it's like that.

    Have a good evening.

Plenty of sunshine here too lois , hope wiz got her washing dried. :)
I was a lot more strict with myself when I was getting to target. I still went off plan on holiday but I made much wiser choices eating out. I took just under a year to get to target so it was worth pushing myself. SW is still my default way of eating at home during the week. I've saved syns for weekends from Day 1 so that doesn't bother me.
The SW beef stew was tasty. I prefer my beef in red wine but that's not syn free. I tweaked it a bit as the recipe didn't even have seasoning! I added leeks and new potatoes and served cauli and broccoli with it instead of swede mash. DH loved it so I'm sure we'll have it again.

Thanks, rj, maman, Denise and b_e_g, Rome was fantastic!

    ruby, you area superstar!

Oh my, orlao, that’s great news!

    Love your NSV, gettingtheresometime.

Well, I managed to fall down the bottom 3 or 4 stairs in our hall this afternoon, and landed (luckily) on my dignity. Foot a bit sore when changing gear and my back is stiffening up just a little. I was just feeling a wee bit sorry for myself but the delight on my grandchidren’s faces and their reactions when I gave them their Hallowe’en costumes after dinner fairly cheered me up. One Harry Potter robe to do tomorrow and some cards, so that should keep me well away from the snacks.

I’m STILL trying to eat our way through the freezer; I’m beginning to think it’s related to the Tardis! We’ve got a bit of problem with the fridge part having a water overflow (it’s an auto defrost fridge freezer), so I want to try turning it all off and letting it defrost properly and maybe trying to check the pipe thing for blockages. The bottom drawer is the most full – it has pastry and ‘naughty’ stuff that we haven’t been eating, so I think I may just turf all of that when the ‘proper’ food has gone.

    Pre- breakfast: banana
Breakfast: spaghetti hoops on hexb toast
Lunch: hm pea & ham soup, slice tiger bread (6), clementine
    Snack: fs Twix (5)
Dinner: mince (1 for gravy), potatoes, carrots
    Snack: hexb cheese & grapes

    Total: 12 syns

I've tried those red wine stockpots but unfortunately they don't give the red wine taste as well as wine - but worth it to save the syns. I used just a couple of fluid oz of red wine in my coq au vin as per the SW recipe (88ml) but might just as well have used the stockpot (but couldn't get any today!) as it wasn't really enough to flavour it.

Thanks Shala for the chart. CongratulationsTweets on SOTW.

Congratulations as well to Orlao on reaching target. Now the hard work starts:rotfl:.

    Hi all,

Absolutely thrilled to post -2lbs and at TARGET :j:j:j:j

This is despite having both breakfast and lunch at motorway services - and we all know how SW friendly they aren't - yesterday on a 450 mile road trip to collect a HUGE new dog. He's a three year old 50 kg rottie called Sam...it's like having a small pony that thinks he's a lapdog in the house but at least the body magic will go up :D

    Congratulations orlao :T
