I would like to join the board again as I've returned / re started Slimming world and would love to gather ideas and also to have somewhere to 'Weigh in' I have all the books and recipe books from a previous attempt , so as to save pennies I'm going to just follow it at home , so having somewhere to come and weigh would be awesome.
I see that you guys are almost at the end of this board though as its almost halloweenis there another board already started for christmas ?
I would like to lose 14lbs by christmas0 -
:hello:hello Debbie. Good idea to start now and then join the next challenge. We'll have a new thread for that but not until next weekend I expect. Meanwhile just keep reading and ask any questions you like. Have you chosen a WI day yet? Any SW unfriendly foods to eat up?
Unfortunately I had a few too many wine syns last night so hitting the water big time this morning. Fortunately I didn't give in to munchies except for a small taste of Stilton and that would probably be offset by HEA as didn't have much milk yesterday (too busy drinking wine:o).
I've had my SW breakfast (HEB porage with HEA milk) but we're off to a birthday party at lunchtime. It's open house so I'm guessing a buffet and hoping there will be some salady bits and perhaps couscous available.
Will report back later. Have a good day everyone.:)0 -
WI day today and I lost 2lbs ....so 2lbs off a stone which I'm really pleased with. My target of 22lbs by Christmas seems achieveable now lol!
We made a slow cooked Asian Ginger Beef Stew with Boi Choy last night and it was so lovely....even hubby didn't miss his Friday night takeaway.
Bought Pork chops for tomorrow so plenty of opportunities for speed food and as I'm on my own Monday, I've bought a spare to cook for tea, so again lots of opportunity for speed.
Also bought the coffee favoured muller lites as I've heard they're nice but must admit my favourites at the mo are the orange & the Turkish delight flavours.0 -
WI and STS which is better than a gain I suppose. Having tummy issues as usual
only seem to be regular when getting up at 6 but as I'm not , it's cause a 'backlog'
sorry tmi

Thankyou for the welcome
and yes Im going to weigh in Sunday Mornings
I will read your guys on here and join in the next one ... I am starting tomorrow morning so gonna have a bit of toast and butter tonight maybe even cheese... I don't have anything to get through in the house as the kids and husband will finish it all lol.
I would love to lose 14lbs before the 22nd of December with a view to keeping it off over Christmas and then continuing in January, but in total I have about 4stone to lose so its long journey.
Well again thanks for the welcome and Ill join you all in the Christmas countdown0 -
I'm back from the lunch party and there was absolutely zilch in the buffet that was SW friendly. All was home made by their chef son so delicious but everything had bread or pastry and then a huge chocolate birthday cake to top it off.
I didn't eat masses but all I can do now is draw a line and move on (until tomorrow when it's football in the pub).
Tonight we're trying the SW chicken jalfrezi and I plan to add in a bit of extra Speed (spinach and maybe more if I can). We'll have chips and pilau rice with it. I notice the new Aldi rice is higher syn than the old one but at 1.5 for a pouch between 2 we won't complain.
Sorry to hear you've got tummy trouble again tie. At least you've not gained with the medication and time spent close to the kitchen this week;).0 -
Hi, I have found the lists and made a note of the fruit and veg that I like
Believe it or not there are 18 fruits and 9 veg plus 7 little bits of veg. So, I should be able to manage better than I have been doing.
I will start In earnest tomorrow because this evening I ate a Hollands potato and meat pie with mushy peas oh it was absolute heaven and perhaps that might happen once a month.
This was my day today..
Breakfast. Museli A/B strawberries melon
Lunch. Cheese A - toasti salad 6 syns clementine Apple.
Dinner Meat and potato pie mushy peas. Damn !!!!0 -
Food for today -
B - none. Was lazy and preferred cuddles in bed than getting up.
L - sw tomato and basil soup.
D - sw spag bol.
Hexa milk and 1 cheesestring. Hexb hifi bar.
Snacks - debating on whether to have a curly wurly or crisps and a few mikados.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Weighing on Wednesday instead of Tuesday as taking a little trip up to Wales and found a group where I know where I'm going and it's down the road from my nans so no messing about.0 -
Lost 1/2 lb last week. Really disappointed but am keeping on with the plan, and have had a couple of really good NSVs lately so that is keeping me going.
(NSVs if you're interested:
I bought some knee-high boots that fitted around the calf, without having to go to Evans for super-stretchy-super-wide ones last week.
I also went bra shopping today and fit into a 32 back - didn't get any bras because I nowhere had the right cup sizes so I've ordered some off the internet - but a 32 back  I never thought that would happen.
As I couldn't find any bras, I ended up buying a skirt and two tops, and they're a size 12. As with the 32 back, I never thought that would happen - I kept finding myself picking up 18s and 20s from the sale rack before DH gave me a nudge and said "I think they'll be a bit big")We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Oh Hun that must have been a moral boost!
I said to someone today I'm finding that my fat pants work trousers seem a little baggy but I can't work out if that's because a) I've lost weight or b) the elastic has gone on them!
I need to try on stuff that I haven't worn in a while but don't want to burst the bubble just yet - maybe when I've hit the stone mark I may but I may leave until I reach my club 10 weight
Anyway well done!!0
