  • we are spoilt and I have two aldis that I can easily get to - one on my route to work and one next to the ASDA I use for everything else.

"The Asda"!! I thought that phrase was very specific to my hometown but maybe not :D

Re. baked oats, I just replied on FB but yes I always do a double batch and keep the spares in the fridge to be reheated in the microwave or eaten cold, and I'm still here to tell the tale.

I was doing a freezer inventory the other day and found a bag of BNS pieces that I bought after preparing one myself and thinking "Never again!". I wasn't really sure what to do with them but soup is the obvious choice at this time of year isn't it? I need a whizzer though. Are the cheapo supermarket ones OK or am I better off investing in something a bit better?

we have the [big] asda and the little asda. there's also a medium sized one which I call 'the other asda' in the next town over!

feel like I could nap today (unheard of for me!) however I am almost at my target of 60 active minutes for the day.

I'm also a bit more productive than usual at work today (and yesterday) OH has fallen out with me (over something silly but he's a big kid and acts about 6) so isn't talking to me and seems to have done wonders for my work haha! We are very much independent adults and appreciate our space which hasn't happened much since he wasn't selected so I think the month sof constant togetherness coupled with his increased pain etc isn't helping! I hoping he will be happy enough to go to a tournament (coaching not playing so no masses of kit to get moved around / in and out of the car and venue etc) without me next weekend! I miss time just me and little one - not in a horrible way but I don't want her to think she can't do stuff without daddy and there's so little we can do as a family compared to when I was younger running round woods and getting mucky (he doesn't do mucky very well either!)

Wow denise didn't you even pinch an onion ring!:D

To coin a phrase tete Butternut Squash means Butternut Squash! so there isn't any difference where you buy it provided it's not bruised but that applies anywhere.

I know exactly what you mean lush . DH and I like our own space too. Nothing to feel bad about. :)

    Hi all

Just a quickie to share a tip on preparing a BNS - lie it on the chopping board, then cut it into slices about 1cm thick, it's much easier to peel like that with a vegetable peeler. The seeds in the lower section can just be scooped out with a spoon.

Lush - sorry to hear your DH isn't speaking to you. I grew up with parents who would go for weeks not speaking, and in the early days after marrying DH I tried the same thing but he didn't take any notice, he'd just act like everything was normal, which makes it impossible to carry on not speaking for any length of time.

i'm being distracted by Graham Norton, I'll be back tomorrow.

    LL :)

check for wiz . The whole list of Speed is on a link in Post 1.

That's a great idea for BNS. I do that with marrow. I'm planning to do another sausage tray bake this week and add BNS to that.
