Would love to know just how the EA reacted to that.
In their position - with a suitable impassive face but meaningful gleam in eyes they would have been told (in suitably calm voice) something along the lines of "I'm afraid your DAUGHTER has just committed to the house. SHE has Exchanged. Now if you'll excuse me - I have another customer to see" and flashed brief smile and gone off.0 -

Priceless...... Looks like the saga isn't over yet...... I feel for your pain, but you've got to smile - what a muppet😀0 -
For heavens sake keep the cats in your new house for a good long while, the last think you want is one of them walking back to your old house!
Luckily they're house catsTwo have never been outside and the third is the grand old age of 22 and stopped being interested in going out about three years ago. One less thing to worry about!

NO
He picks them up from the EA like most people do. Besides which why would you give the keys to him. It's not his house.
No show round. Goodwill went out the window a long time ago.
No, you're not his secretary. He can arrange himself.
Be done with this ridiculous bully.
Agree with all this, been lurking to see how it went, glad you are through it now.
But don't give him the keys its not his house. I can see many problems with it if you gave in. Plus do your very best to not let him find out where you move to.
As for walking him round, words fail me, its presumably not a mansion63 mortgage payments to go.

She said 'but you do understand your daughter has to complete in order to get the keys Mr W?'
'Yes yes ... But we're not definitely keeping the house at that stage.'
Good luck selling it again then. Hope daughter can find someone to leave the estate agent's fees in an envelope somewhere for her.0 -

Two bed starter home :rotfl: The tour takes about three minutes if you include the airing cupboard.0 -

De-lurking also! I do not understand how people like him get by day to day. Exchange means they've bought it! I've not bought a house but even I've done enough basic research to know theres no going back.0
